Clarissa smiled as she watched Mindy look over the dresses she picked out to try on.  "Clarissa, I think the blue one with the sweetheart neck line will be perfect." she said.  Clarissa held the dress in front of her as she examined herself in the mirror.  Next to her was a pile of dresses that she already rejected.  The poor sales associate looked exhausted.  Clarissa had tried on almost every dress in the store that was in her size.  Mindy held the last two as Clarissa scrunched up her nose while looking at the one in front of her.  It was cute, but Clarissa didn't want cute.  She wanted sexy.  Unfortunately no matter what she wanted, her mother had the final say and sexy was not it.  Clarissa looked at the two in Mindy's hand again.  One was a pale pink with an A-line chiffon bottom.  It was a very delicate looking.  The other was a seafoam green bandage dress.  Clarissa chose that one and walked into the dressing room with those two.  The first dress was very nice and elegant.  Mindy looked at her, smiled but shook her head no.  "I figured as much."  said Clarissa as she walked back into the changing room.  The second dress screamed sexy when she stepped out.  "Oh yes! that's the one!" crowed Mindy as she snapped her fingers.  Clarissa blushed slightly over the praise and then smirked.  "I will definitely turn heads with this one."  she said as she sashayed over to the mirror to get a look.  It hugged her figure perfectly.  She was mentally matching a pair of shoes when Laura and Luna Michelle walked over.  "Oh my!" stated Luna Michelle as her eyes widened.  Laura's eyes narrowed  "I know you not planning on getting that one!" she barked.  Mindy watched as her friends face contorted.  She knew Clarissa was about to show out in anger and tried to diffuse.  "Luna Laura, Luna Michelle, what if we got a nice sheer jacket to go over?"  Clarissa turned her head and looked at Mindy like she was crazy.  "I'm sure it will look nice with the dress."  Mindy emphasized  while widening her eyes at Clarissa hoping she would get the hint to shut up.  Laura walked around the dress while tapping her finger to her chin.  "Maybe, but do they hade one here in the store?" .Then she brightened, "I can make one.  That is if we can't find one."  she turned t Luna Michelle and smiled.  Luna Michelle smiled and turned her head to face Clarissa.  "Yes, well, if we can't find one already made, that sounds like a good idea.  Let's just purchase the dress and we can discuss it over lunch.  I'm famished."  Clarissa looked at the three women and shook her head.  She knew Mindy was trying to keep them from fighting and Luna Michelle was trying to deter Laura but still get the dress.  She wisely kept her mouth closed and smiled at her mother.  "That sounds awesome mom.  I'm hungry too  Let's purchase the dress and then eat.  We can do shoes after."  Laura narrowed her eyes once again at her daughter.  She was trying to determine if she was serious and preparing for a blow out and none came!  Counting her blessings and shrugging her shoulders, she followed the women to the cash register. After paying, the four made their way to the restaurant.  They loved to visit Tad's steakhouse whenever they came to the mall.  Being werewolves, they had large appetite and could eat much more than a human.  Since Tad was also a werewolf, he always served extra large portions.  The ladies had Gamma Greg put the current bags in the car and then meet them at the restaurant.  Whit him there, it would not look as weird then they ordered all the food.  While they were waiting for their table Mindy whispered to Clarissa.  "I'm glad yo picked up on my little speech.  Luna Michelle mind linked me to tell you not to worry.  She will keep your mom so busy preparing for the festival that she won't have time to create a cover for the dress.  The two girls giggled as they make their way towards the table.  The five wolves sat near the window of the restaurant that faces the mall.  The girls and Gamma sat facing he window and the two Lunas sat facing the other patrons.  Gamma Greg was satisfied with the layout and did a quick perimeter heck before grabbing a menu.  A cute human waitress with bouncy red curls came over to take their order.  She tried to flirt with Greg but he was oblivious.  She soon spotted the gold ring on his finger and frowned.  Clarissa was talking with Mindy when she saw her stiffen and her eyes grow wide.  "What?" she asked.  "I think I just saw Willa.  She is walking with a petite Spanish woman.  I think that is her mom."  Mindy stood.  "I'm going to say hello."  Clarissa frowned.  "Why? she is not friends with us."  Mindy had a slightly guilty look on her face as she sat back down.  "Uhmm, she still speaks to me.  Like we say hello.  I just don't go over to her house any more."  Mindy looked very uncomfortable as Clarissa stared at her while twisting he lips.  "Oh, and I guess you conveniently forgot to mention this to me?"  she asked.  When Mindy said nothing, Clarissa rolled her eyes.  "Well, don't let me stop you, Go! Run to your friend."  Mindy looked uncertain but then she stood up and walked out the restaurant.  The three women watched through the window as Mindy called Willa's name.  They watched as Willa slowly turned around with her mother.  Clarissa wished she could hear what was being said.  She saw Mindy grasp Willa's hand and turn towards the restaurant.  Willa halted her steps and shook her head.  She looked over her shoulder at her mother who was standing a few feet away looking at some dresses displayed in a*****e window.  They spoke briefly and Willa turned towards the restaurant window and looked at Clarissa.  She raised her hand awkwardly and waved.  Clarissa turned her head and caught Gamma Greg waving back with a smile.  "What are you doing?  You don't wave at our enemies!: she hissed.  Greg turned to Carissa with a frown.  "First off, young lady or should I say little girl; based off your behavior" he replied while smirking.  "She is only your enemy because you want her to be.  You could have make peace with her a long time ago, but you chose to be the victim when you were actually the instigator.  Second, I am an adult and I can choose who I want to  befriend.  Finally, I answer to the Alpha and Luna only.  I give my respect to whom respect is due."  He turned away from Clarissa after sneaking a glance at the Lunas to see if he overstepped.  Getting no opposition, he dug into his meal trying to eat as much as possible while the steak was still warm.  Soon, Mindy returned to her seat to finish her steak salad.  After a few seconds of silence, Clarissa couldn't take it any more.  "So? what did she say?  I bet she is still whining about how she was mistreated?"  Mindy looked up and finished chewing her food.  She swallowed and turned to Luna Michelle and Luna Laura.  "Lunas, she wanted me to tell you hello and that she missed you both.  She was happy to wave to Gamma Greg.  As far as you" she looked at Clarissa "she said congratulations on graduating high school and good luck with your future decisions.  She bears no ill will but said you understood the reason why she did not come over to speak.  But you don't want to hear that, right?"  Clarissa watched Mindy and smiled begrudgingly.  Mindy was speaking all soft and hesitantly but the uncertain  was not in her eyes.  Clarissa realized that Mindy took pleasure in having the upper hand.  Clarissa just shrugged.  whatever, I taught her well she thought as she chuckled to herself and she continued to enjoy her medium rare steak.
