Willa walked into the bathroom with Sidney right behind her. " Oh s**t Sidney! Did I really just do that?" shrieked Willa. Sidney burst out laughing at her friend. "b***h! you was grinding on Alpha Sam like you owned it!" Willa face palmed herself as her cheeks turned pink. She was so embarrassed that everyone saw her practically humping Sam on the dance floor. "Sidney! I was grinding on Sam. f*****g grinding on his huge d**k!" Sidney's mouth hung open with a silent laugh. Both girls screamed and jumped up and down. Willa glanced around with wide eyes. She didn't even check to see if anyone was nearby to overhear their conversation. Not that she needed to worry; Everyone who was anyone was out at the party and saw for themselves. Willa groaned, "why did I walk away? I am such a dork! He probably thinks I regret dancing with him." Sidney shook her head. " I highly doubt he thinks you regretted that dance. He looked like he was very happy with himself. So what did he whisper in your ear? You shot up so straight and took off." " He basically told me not to start something I could not finish. Then he said he would bend me over and take me right there on the dance floor!" whispered Willa, trying to be mindful of the crowd that was probably standing outside the door waiting to use the rest room. She quickly pulled her pants down and sat on the toilet. After finishing her business, she washed her hands while Sidney took that opportunity to use the toilet as well. After washing hands the two friends went out the door to see a line of females waiting to use the bathroom. "About time! I almost peed on myself waiting for you two." huffed a she wolf as she ran past them and slammed the door. Sidney looked at Willa and the two girls giggled as they walked away from the line and went to sit on the couch in the great room. She was not ready to go back to the party and face Sam just yet. She was wondering what he was thinking when he walked in and turned towards her. With a slight smirk, he sauntered over and sat down on the other side of Willa. He leaned over Willa and spoke to Sidney. " Can I have a moment with my dance partner?" Sidney shyly shook her head with a big smile on her face. She stood up and pulled her hand away from Willa who was clinging to it and desperately trying to give her a signal not to leave her. " Sure thing Sam and be nice. You made her nervous with those dance moves. Thought you was going to get her pregnant on the dance floor" Willa squeaked in embarrassment and Sam laughed out loud. "Nah, I have a much better way to make that happen." Willa face palmed her self again. She wished he would stop saying stuff like that. She was already embarrassed. Sam gently pulled her hands away from her face. "You are a really good dancer. Not too many wolves know how to dance to reggae. Who taught you to dance?" Willa turned to face him as she spoke. "I learned from my dance teacher and some of my classmates. A few of the girls came from Jamaica and taught me how to wind my waist. So who taught you how to dance?" she asked. Same smiled. I learned from a few guys at school. Whenever we would go to parties, I just observed what they did and practiced in my room. I guess I did ok?" Willa gave a big grin. " You did very well." she answered as her cheeks turned pink again. Now that he was up close, Sam noticed the sprinkle of freckles across the bridge of her nose. He noticed that she had full lips and her nose was slightly broader that his. "Can I ask you a question?" Willa c****d her head to the side. "um, sure?" " Are you mixed?" Willa narrowed her eyes at him. What did he mean? "I mean, you are not white, right?" Willa nodded in understanding. "No, not completely. My mom is white, from what I am told and my dad is mixed. He is part African-American and part Dominican on his father's side and Native American on his mother's side. Some people would call him a mutt." Sam winced at her choice of words. "What's wrong?" Willa asked confused at his facial expression. " I know you are human but in our world, being called a mutt or dog is the same as using a derogatory word to describe a person of color." Willa's eyes widened in understanding. "Oh! Damn, I am so sorry Sam! I was just describing my dad. I did not mean anything bad by it and he is not a werewolf.. He is human like me." Sam just looked at her. There was something about his sister's friend that he couldn't put his finger on. All he knew is that he wanted to get to know her a little more. Sam and Willa spend the next hour talking and learning about each other. Willa was happy that they shared similar likes and dislikes. Sam liked to dance and he loved chocolate ice cream but not chocolate cake just like her. He laughed at her fascination of supernatural movies and books. "You know most of those are fake. Those books and movies are nothing like us. We don't shift from human to wolf every full moon uncontrollably. I bet you even like that dumb movie Twilight ?" Willa laughed out loud. "But you have to admit the romance..." "Is all fake and stupid." Sam scoffed. "Say what you want, but I still love to watch them and read about them. They make the werewolves so masculine and sexy." Willa gushed while batting her eyes playfully. Sam looked deep into her eyes and slowly leaned forward. " Give me a chance Willa. I can show you just how masculine and sexy a real male wolf can be ." He said softly as he leaned in to give her a kiss on her lips.
Just as she closed her eyes and was about to receive his kiss, her phone rang. Willa's eyes popped open and she leaned back before he was able to make contact. She looked down after taking her phone out of her purse. It was her sister. Willa rolled her eyes as she answered. "Yes?" she huffed, frustrated that her sister interrupted what was probably the best kiss she would ever get. "Hey bean, I am on my way to pick you up." said Jessica. Willa frowned. " Why so soon?" "Soon? Willa it is after midnight! I know I said we should be home before five but I have a feeling dad is going to be waiting up for us and I don't want to give him a reason to not allow you out again." responded Jessica. Willa groaned. She was not ready to leave. It was just starting to get good, sitting here talking to Sam. She was finally enjoying herself. "Ok, how much time do I have? I still have to say goodbye to the birthday girl." "You have half an hour...provided I don't get lost again." Jessica grumbled as she tried to remember the turnoff. "Hey bean, what street do they live on again.." "Ok bye! see you soon." Willa cut off her sister and hung up the phone. She kind of hoped Jessica did get lost. She will call her back in ten minutes, or twenty. Willa sheepishly looked at Sam. He was scrolling through his phone, waiting for her to finish her call. "Sam? That was my sister. I have to go now. I had a really good time talking to you though." she said. Sam looked up and smiled. " Good, because I want us to go out and talk some more. Just you and me; ok?" "Yeah, sure." Willa responded with a smile. She turned and looked at the glass doors that led out to the garden where the party was winding down. Gamma Gregory was moving about with a few of the warriors letting the teenagers know that it was time to go home. The DJ was playing his last song and putting away some of his equipment. The bartender was putting away the bottles and picking up all the silver party cups and dumping them into the garbage bag. Sam picked up Willa's hand and led her out the door. They saw Mindy and Peter sitting off to the side talking to each other. Mindy was sitting on his lap and he was speaking lowly while kissing her lips intermittently. Sidney was over on the other side of the bar talking to a few she-wolves who were finishing their drinks. Clarissa was still sitting on her throne with what looked like the biggest attitude. Willa made her way to Clarissa to tell her goodbye. " Hey Clarissa, I have to go,." Willa stopped talking when she noticed the look that Clarissa gave her. "What's wrong?" Clarissa exploded. " What's wrong? What's wrong! You waltz in her and stole the limelight! Dancing like that with my brother! That is all anyone could talk about. Not me. Not my birthday party or what fun they were having. No one was discussing how fabulous I looked or how nice the decorations were. Only you and my brother screwing each other on the dance floor!" she screamed. By this point, everyone that was still at the party was looking at Clarissa and Willa with interest. Sam stood in between the two girls. " Rissa, that is not fair. You can't blame.." Clarissa whirled around and smacked him in the chest. "Shut up! You and your slut ruined my party! I am never going to forgive either one of you and I'm telling dad and Alpha just what you did!" she yelled as she stormed off the stage. Willa was so surprised, she did not say a word. She could not believe that Clarissa was blaming her for not have a good birthday party. Before she could say anything, Gamma Gregory walked over to her. "Ms. Willa, your sister is here to take you home". He stated. Sam grabbed her hand and walked with her to the front gate. Willa looked up at him and frowned. " Did I really ruin her party?" she asked. "No, and pay her no mind. She ruined her own party by sitting up there looking like the queen of hearts instead of having a good time and mingling with the other wolves. Listen, I am going to call you ok? I will get your number from Sidney." He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her near her temple. "Don't worry. Clarissa will be fine. She is spoiled and the other girls already know how she is. You have been her friend for over a year. How do you not know this about her? She will have her hissy fit and then get over it and act like nothing has happened. Just give her time." He kissed her again and opened the car door for her to get in. Jessica tooted the horn as she drove off. Sam saw Willa hang her head down as they drove away. He exhaled as he turned to walk back up the driveway to the house. His sister was ridiculous! Blaming such a sweet girl for her miserable attitude. He stopped when he was mind linked by his father. Sam, come in the house and meet us in your room. We need to talk. All this over a freaking dance! His sister is such a brat! Sam groaned in frustration as he made his way through the doors and up the stairs.
