Fast forward to now.
One night after work, I get home and decide to read the book.
Silas gave it to me when I decided to leave Chicago ten years ago. I graduated from college with honors (it’s amazing how much you can get done when you don’t sleep) and was ready to see the world.
But before I went and got a job, I decided to go to school for an MBA. So I did. I just kept taking out loans and paying as much as I could while doing school stuff. I got my Master’s. The next step, according to the book, was to get a job.
My bachelor’s degree was in television broadcasting. I’d planned to be a TV news anchor. And I could still do that for a good ten years before I’d have to move on to something that’s not in the public spotlight.
