The name left my mouth underlined with fear…too afraid to be true!
She froze, her fingers tightening around a few scattered papers she had just gathered. For a moment, she simply titled her head and stared at me, confusion settling slowly across her face like she was trying to decide whether she had heard me correctly.
“I’m… sorry?” she said after a second, her voice careful. I heaved a shuddered breath, she did it exactly like Angora.
“I think you have the wrong person.” She politely replied and fixed her hair further.
Of course she doesn't know me.
But I knew that face….by heart!
