Brandon and Toby sat at one of the tables in the large dining room with Anya and Zuri. There was so much food and Toby noticed how everyone in the room seemed to not only have an appetite similar to his and his brother’s, but that everyone in the room seemed to stop and stare at him and Brandon occasionally. He wondered if it could be their reactions to two strangers in the room, but when he noticed the long whispering conversations, he found it all increasingly annoying.
Normally, he was able to hear whispered conversations with his near inhuman hearing capabilities but for whatever reason he couldn’t make out even the slightest sounds.
