I pull up to Savannah Grace's house wearing my best pair of khaki pants, a collared golf shirt, and of course my cowboy boots. At least they were my dressier cowboy boots. I walk up to her door and ring the doorbell. Someone who was shorter and obviously younger than her comes to the door. I can only assume it is one of her siblings. He has similar dark brown hair and eyes as her but his features are slightly different. They could pass as siblings.
"Hey, I'm Jason" I say as he looks up at me "Is Savannah Grace here?"
"Sure" he says as he steps aside to let me in "I'll go get her".
"Savannah Grace! Your date is here!" I hear him yell as he walks up the stairs.
"Thanks Bryson" she says as she comes down the stairs.
My breath catches in my throat. She is gorgeous. The large curls she has added to her beautiful brown hair cascade over her shoulders. I can tell she has a little more makeup on than she typically wears to school but it's not too much. She is wearing a pair of black leggings, knee high boots, and a red sweater that hugs all the right curves. I always thought she was beautiful but for some reason, I can't stop staring at her tonight.
"Hey, are you ready to go?" I manage to get out.
"Sure, where are we going?"
"I thought we'd head downtown to that new Italian place over on Martin Street."
"Sounds great, I love Italian. Bye mom!" She calls upstairs as Jackson holds the door open for her. Her mom makes her promise to text her when she knows when she will be home and tells her to be careful. We get out to my car and I hold the door open for her as she slides into the front seat. I walk around to the front, start the car and point it towards our destination.
Once we are inside at our table looking over the menu, Savannah Grace comments "Oh, everything looks so good! I don't know what I'm going to get! Have you decided?"
"Yeah, I think I'm going to go with the lasagna but no rush, take your time deciding."
"I'm starving, I skipped lunch so everything looks so good".
After we finally place our order and the waitress clears our menus, we are able to talk some. We talked for so long! Even after our dinner was long gone, we sat in our booth and just had great conversation. I don't think I've ever talked to a girl for so long about so many different topics. It was wonderful. I hope she was having a good time, from the looks of it she was.
"Oh my goodness" she exclaims "look at the time! We've been here talking for over 2 hours! I'm sure the waitress is getting tired of refilling our water cups."
"What should we do next?" I say
"I'm up for anything but I think we should give her back her table. Excuse me while I go to the ladies room then we can head out". She gets up and heads towards the back as I try to clean up a little bit of what's left on the table to make it easier for the waitress. I also pull out a few more bucks and put them on the table. I already left a tip on my card but she's been so gracious while we took up her table for so long that I think she deserves a little extra.
"All ready?" I ask Savannah Grace as she returns from the bathroom.
"Yup! Let's go" I get up, help her with her jacket and take her hand as we walk outside. She didn't seem to mind that our fingers were intertwined, so far I think this date has gone pretty well.
We get back to my car and get in, "Any ideas where to next?" I ask her.
"Not really" she says. I'm not quite ready to go home yet, it's still on the early side and I'm not done looking at her. I sit in the drivers seat just staring into her beautiful brown eyes and I can't help myself. I end up leaning over and kissing her. To my delight, she kisses me back. The kiss gets more intense with every passing second. Thankfully there was no one else in the parking lot. I lean back my seat and pull her over on top of me. She straddles me and continues to kiss me, our tongues darting back and forth between our mouths. I'm trying to take it slow but I can't help myself, I'mso attracted to her. I slip my hand under her sweater and caress her gently. She doesn't protest. I kiss down her neck and run my fingers through her hair. I can feel myself getting aroused for her as she sits on top of me. I want her so badly but I promised we would take things slowly. All of a sudden she stops kissing me and sits up.
"What's wrong?" I ask "Did I do something?"
"No" she says breathlessly "I just wanted to tell you something."
"You can tell me anything" I assure her as she rolls back over into her seat.
"I'm a virgin..."
"Oh" I say, "That's fine, we don't have to do anything you're not comfortable with".
"Thank you, are you sure? I don't want you to get your expectations up for nothing to happen."
I lean over and kiss her cheek, "No expectations, I just enjoy being here with you no matter what we do. What we just did felt so good. Do I want you? Absolutely but I also respect you. I was raised in a very Christian home with very Christian beliefs. We were taught no s*x before marriage and so far I've held up to that, as hard as it may be at some times. I'm not sure if I'll make it to marriage but I'd like to at least try. We are still young, we have our whole lives for that." Whoa, did I say too much? Was that too forward? I basically just told Savannah Grace that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I don't know what the future holds but I do know that I'm falling for her quickly.
"Thank you for understanding. I didn't know that about you. We are a Christian family too, I am not sure if I will wait until marriage or not, I just know I'm not ready right now."
"There are plenty other things we can do whenever you are comfortable" I say to her as I give her a joking smirk. I'm not really joking but I don't want her to think I have any expectations.
I looked at the clock and realize that we've been making out for a good hour and a half. By now it's starting to actually get late, so much for finding something else to do. And I am fine with that.
"Should we get you home?" I ask her.
"Sounds good, I'm glad we did this... all of this" she says with a wink.
My heart beats faster from just a wink from her.
"Before we leave, I have something for you" I say as I reach into the backseat and grabbed a packaged wrapped in Christmas paper. "I know it's not Christmas yet, but it's close and I wanted you to have this now" you know, in case she decides to never see me again.
I hand her the gift and she slowly unwraps it. "Jackson!" she exclaims "you shouldn't have! This is the sweater I saw at American Eagle last weekend but I had to put it back down because of the price. It's beautiful, this is too much."
"It's not. I knew how much you loved it and I thought you should have it."
"Thank you very much, I love it. I didn't get you anything, it's not even Christmas yet!"
"It's ok, you don't have to get me anything, the look in your eyes is enough for me. I'm glad you love it."
She gives me a kiss on the cheek, sits back in her seat, buckles her seat belt, and I start the car as she sends her mom a text to let her know we are on our way back to her house. When we get there, I walk her to her door and give her a kiss before wishing her goodnight and watching her walk into her house. As far as dates go, I think this definitely ranks high up on my list of best ones ever. I get back in my car to head home, the huge smile that's been on my face for most of the night never leaves me the whole way back to my house.
