The bright sun entering my room woke me up. How did I even fall asleep, all I remember was lying down with my novel in my hands.
My phone rang and I was scared when I saw unknown caller. "Hello?" I waited for the person to answer
"morning sunshine, do you know who this?" The voice sounded familiar but I did not know who this is?
"No,who am I speaking with?" I asked
"it is Nickolas Lion" I froze at the name. How the hell did he get my number? I wondered.
"How did you get my number?" I sounded annoyed and irritated
"slow down sunshine" I rolled my eyes at the nickname
"how the hell did you get my number?" I was losing patience now.
"I need to meet up with you and your father, I have a concerning matter to discuss. And how I got your number is not necessary" he said and hung up.
"What a rude person" I said and recalled what he said about the concerning matter. I went downstairs to look for my dad. I spotted him at the balcony.
"Morning dad" I said walking up to him
"Morning angel, slept well?" He asked
"Yes dad, I slept like a baby" I said to him
"So,any plans for today?"
"Yes dad, I might meet up with jenny tonight".
Jenny is my best friend from when I was 5 years old. She was the only one that accepted me as a friend. We have not been hanging out for sometime now.
"OK darling, send my greetings and enjoy yourself".
"So dad, Nickolas Lion called me this morning say...." My dad cut me off.
"He what!" He shouted
"I called saying he has a concerning matter to discuss with you and me" I said fast.
"How did he even get your number?" He asked
"I also don't know,I guess he has his ways" I said
"No no...I don't want to drag you into anything like this. Whereas he could have called me not you". He said.
" you don't... Well I'm already in from the first day I started delivering drugs" I said annoyed
"Baby I'm sorry I got you into this mess". He said regretfully
" I know dad,but let's just meet up with him to see what he has to say". A part of me did not really want to know the matter, I just wanted to see his face one last time.
"OK baby,I'll arrange for a meeting" he said and pecked my head.
"OK I want to go get breakfast now" I said and he nodded. Then I went away.

It was already in the evening when I picked up my phone and dialed Jenny's number. "Hey babe, wanna go to a club tonight?"
"Hi baby, yes I would love to" she said excitedly
"Well dress up,I'll pick you up around 8pm" I said
"Wow,just 2hrs to get dressed?" She asked
"Yes isn't that enough time?" I said now laughing cause I know how jenny is.
"It's fine I'll manage" she said and I laughed.
"OK babe, see you soon" I hung up without waiting for her to reply. Oh no,she's going to kill me.
I got up to take a quick shower, I was wondering what to wear. I picked about three dresses as option. The first one is a very short gown above my thighs that hugs my body and had an open back.
"Oh no,too much exposure ". I picked up the second which was a short gown also but below my thighs and hugs my hips tightly with a vee neck which showed an amount of boobs. This could be an option.
The third dress is a long sleeveless gown with open back that shows an amount of boobs also. After what felt like eternity I settled with the option two. I sat on a chair facing my mirror to apply my makeup and straighten my hair.
I looked at my self in the mirror over and over and I knew what God created is marvelous.
