As the music slows, signaling the end of the dance, everyone gathers together for a final, group photo. Saloni and Samay, still teasing each other, exchange one last playful comment.
Saloni (smiling): “Well, Mr. Hero, you did well. The world didn’t end.”
Samay (grinning): “I know. It’s a miracle, isn’t it?”
As the picture is taken, the laughter and fun continue, and Saloni and Samay’s bond, built on mutual teasing and shared moments of playfulness, becomes a highlight of the evening.
The dinner ends, and everyone begins exchanging goodnights. The laughter and chatter fill the room as families start to gather together. Shreya’s family and Arjun’s family are engaged in a warm conversation, bidding farewell for the night.
Shreya’s Mom (hugging Saloni): “It was such a pleasure having you around, beta. You have such a bright energy. Come, visit us soon!”
Saloni (with a warm smile): “Of course, aunty. It was wonderful spending time with all of you.”
As Shreya’s family moves to leave, Saloni watches the scene with a soft, pleasant smile. Her eyes briefly land on Samay’s family, observing them with a sense of calm appreciation. She watches as Samay’s mom hugs him tightly, his father patting him on the back with a smile of approval. There’s a peaceful joy in her expression, as if taking in everything around her—the warmth of family, the connections being made, the simple happiness in the air.
Scene: Samay Observes Saloni
From across the room, Samay notices Saloni standing quietly, observing everyone with a thoughtful, pleasant smile. He tilts his head slightly, intrigued by the calm demeanor she has amidst the chatter and noise.
Samay (approaching with a playful grin): “So, Ms. Wonder Woman, what are you thinking about now?”
Saloni, slightly startled by his sudden approach, looks at him with a playful twinkle in her eyes.
Saloni (teasing): “You really want to know, huh?”
Samay (leaning in slightly): “Of course! You’re always so deep in thought. I want to know what’s going on in that mind of yours.”
Saloni (grinning): “Well, it’s nothing too mysterious, just thinking about how nice it is to see families so happy… how people connect, how life’s little moments are the best. You know, all that mushy stuff that doesn’t usually come out of my mouth.”
Samay (raising an eyebrow): “Mushy stuff, huh? You’re not fooling me. There’s more to it than that, isn’t there?”
Saloni (laughing softly): “Maybe. But right now, I’m just enjoying the moment. Everyone’s so content… and I feel like I’m exactly where I need to be.”
Samay (smiling): “You know, that’s actually a nice thought. I’ve never seen you like this—calm and all… sentimental.”
Saloni (playfully rolling her eyes): “It’s not like you’re any better, Mr. Playful. You’ve been observing everyone too, haven’t you?”
Samay (grinning): “Caught me. But, you know, I’m just trying to figure out what makes people tick. And… I think I’m starting to figure out a lot about you.”
Saloni (mocking seriousness): “Oh, really? Now I’m curious. What do you think you’ve figured out?”
Samay (teasing): “Well, for one, I’ve figured out that you’re a lot more thoughtful than you let on.”
Saloni (smiling): “Hmm, maybe I’m just getting soft in my old age.”
They both laugh, and Saloni glances around the room again, her smile softening as she takes in the happy faces.
Saloni (softly): “It’s just… nice to see how everyone comes together. Makes me think maybe I should appreciate these little moments more often.”
Samay (watching her, more seriously now): “I get it. Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in everything and forget the good stuff around us.”
There’s a brief pause as they both look around, the noise of the party fading slightly as they share a quiet moment. Then, Samay breaks the silence with a grin.
Samay (playfully): “Okay, Ms. Philosopher, don’t get too lost in your thoughts. We still have more teasing to do before the night’s over.”
Saloni (laughing): “I’ll be ready. But only if you can keep up with me.”
Samay (chuckling): “Oh, I can keep up. Don’t worry about that.”
As they both continue to smile at each other, the warmth of the evening lingers. The families begin to exit, and the room starts to empty, but the playful banter between Samay and Saloni continues, leaving a sense of joy and camaraderie in the air.
As the last of the guests begin to leave, Samay turns to Saloni with a mischievous grin on his face. He pauses for a moment, observing her relaxed expression, and then steps closer.
Samay (teasingly): "Well, Ms. Deep Thinker, I guess it’s time for me to hit the sack. I’ve got a big day tomorrow, you know?"
Saloni (smiling, slightly raising an eyebrow): "Oh really? What big plans do you have?"
Samay (with a playful shrug): "You know, just the usual—saving the world, keeping up with you... and making sure I stay ahead in the teasing game."
Saloni (laughing): "I see. Well, good luck with that. It’s not going to be easy."
Samay grins and then, with a dramatic flair, extends his hand as if preparing for an epic exit.
Samay (in a mock formal tone): "Goodnight, Ms. Saloni. May your dreams be as sweet as your deep thoughts... but not too deep, okay? I wouldn’t want you to overthink in your sleep."
Saloni chuckles at his playful remark and, with a smirk, responds.
Saloni (teasing back): "Goodnight, Mr. Samay. Sleep tight... but don’t let the teasing bug bite."
Samay laughs at her witty reply, and just before he turns to leave, he throws one last playful line.
Samay (with a wink): "Oh, don’t worry. It’ll bite you first."
With that, he walks away, still grinning, leaving Saloni shaking her head in amusement. She watches him go, her smile lingering as the room gradually empties, the warmth of their playful exchange still hanging in the air.
