Kapitulo 16
"Darling..." I called him when I heard the sound of the shower in the shower room. Cyrex."
No one answered me. I sat in the mini-chair, waiting for him to leave. When the splash of the shower was deafening, I opened the room and I saw him naked. Watching the wall, I walked onto his back, wrapping my hands around his waist. What's wrong with this man?
"I was searching for you..." My voice sank when he removed my hand, swiveling round to face me.
His brows met, his hair wet, his thick lashes sprinkled with small drops. "Why didn't you tell me?"
I smiled, confused. "Huh? What are you saying? "
His jaw clenched. "You met other man after me."
I shook my head. "I don't know what you're saying. But I do like the tone of your voice."
His cheeks flushed.
"f**k it. Come on here," and he then dragged me onto him, brushing my forehead with his lips. "Stop making me this f*****g crimson!"
I kissed his neck.
"It smells so nice. I qualify to be your husband." He jerked his head off of me just to see my face. "Do you mean... you want me to be your husband?"
I shook, smiling. I pressed my hands into his cheeks. His mouth formed into a circle shape while staring intensely at me. Naked Cyrex is better than womanizing Cyrex. Though I thought before that he brought a lot of girls to his condo. What a bummer I was.
"I'm going to f**k you. If you don't stop teasing me," he said frankly.
I wince. "All right, all right. I'm done romancing you."
He drooled and bit his lip, and I then gave him a seductive wink that made him drool and bite his lip again.
I pulled out of the room. I can't get rid of the image in my brain. His naked. whole naked. And yet I feel grateful for the scenery. Bad. So bad. I threw my cup in my hand and pressed it against my mouth while leaning against the table. I'd never be fortunate enough to taste this kind of coffee. Too bad Sheram doesn't like them either.
"Can you help me? For a moment," his voice startled me. I gaze at him, leaning against the wall, with his hands around his waist. "Can you?"
I look away. "I'm busy sipping my tea."
His lips pushed upward. Pushing his feet in my direction, he then leaned on my shoulder, smoothing my skin with his aftershave cheek. Why can I not resist this man? Am I that vulnerable to being his slave? No way!I'm not his slave. I'm his girlfriend.
"Help me get rid of your scent, darling," he whispered, beyond monotone. "I can't take my eyes off you. All of my systems are arousing to every single glare of yours. "
"Cy..." I moaned when he sucked my shoulder with his mouth.
"Don't you ever talk to someone but me. Understood?" he asked in a shallow tone, just to hear his word.
I nodded. He bit my shoulder, and I whined about the feeling he was giving me. Enough for this one pulsating gesture, please. But my body told me to shut up when I arched my back, as his other hand cupped one of my breasts.
"Say it," he repeated.
"Y-yes." My neck stiffened when he glided down his hand, but I felt relieved when he released it.
"Get dressed," he commanded and scurried over to the closet, shuffling dresses in hand, undecided on what to wear for today.
"Now?"
"Yes, now."
I sighed. It's still a fresh memory to me when he transitions through all of the possible events he could handle. He tried to avoid me, as if he was upset about what I said, but then it's witty to think that he caught me off guard.
At nine o'clock, I put on the dress Cyrex chose for me.I look at the mirror. It's got an asymmetric neckline with a few diamond pearls on the beading. My s*x delivered me to a pink daze, wearing his blue polo shirt and white pants that covered his sleek shanks.
"Everything's fixed?" he inquired, bathing his neck in perfume.
"Where are we going?" I'm confused because he forced me to wear this. A white linen dress that is cut above the ankle.
He breaths. "It's Lolo's birthday today. I want you to see my relatives. Also, I want to announce that we are official."
I smile slightly. "You should not have to. I know that it's your family's event. I don't belong there.
He pushed his feet onto me, cupping my cheeks. "Look at me. You belong in my world. So, it's automatic that you belong to my family."
I exhale. "Fine. Whatever."
He gave me a boyish smile. They were looking at me as if I was going to refuse. Should I not go with him? I don't know. I'm bothered.
He gave me one final look before he went back to the mirror. I fixed my ears as my phone rang. I was about to take it, but he grabbed it in his hand. He looked at me, putting the phone in a loud speak mode.
"Fereine," a familiar voice said, furrowing my brow.I looked at Cyrex, and I gave him a shrug.
"Who are you?" His voice is calm.
"Fereine? Why is your phone with somebody else? " That voice I must know this voice. I tried to recall it but couldn't get it out of my brain. In case he knows me and I don't, who would possibly be the man?
My eyes widened. This must be very unfortunate for someone. Or I should say I was unfortunate with him. I snatched the phone from his hand, and he gave me a look.
"Dad?" I begin.
"Yours truly," he said, before sighing. "Where are you? I'm coming back to Manila in a few months from now. "
No! You shouldn't.
"What?" he asked, confused.
Did I say it that loudly? I thought it was a whisper in my brain. A deep breath from the line intensified the emotion that I was carrying.
"Are you with someone?" he asked frankly.
Holy s**t. "Y-yeah. I'm with my... man. "
He remained silent for a few seconds before speaking. "Whatever. By the way, did Ghad tell you that Sheram would be coming up here? "
My lips parted, bemused. "W-what are you saying, dad?"
He exhaled. "Who is your mother, huh? As a result of the company's loss, Sheram would, of course, help the company revamp. Goodness. Where did you get that stupidity? "
Cyrex's grip tightened. I glanced at him, clearing my throat and trying to ease his temper. He looked away as his hand slowly untangled from his fist. He knew my father well, but he still couldn't comprehend that he didn't like me as his daughter.
"With all due respect, Sir. First and foremost, I don't f*****g care if your company loses money as a result of your stupidity," Cyrex interjects, widening my eyes. "Secondly, the pundit of your f*****g loss is yourself. So stop barging my girl and keep the s**t out of her life. "
"Who the hell was that, Fereine? Did you get along with that artist, huh?" he paused, and breathed. "That irresponsible freak who can't even give you a house you want," I interrupted. I couldn't let him get involved in this.
"It's your plot to get along with the man you love, but then what? Marry with them? No, dad. I'm done with the bullshit."
Cyrex's hands have formed fists.
"Don't talk to me like that!" Dad shouted.
"Don't you ever shout at my girl like that? I can even ruin your company and burn it into pieces," Cyrex yelled. "f**k yourself in trouble. But don't ever shout at my girl like that. You don't know who you are talking to. "
"Who are you?" His voice rose.
I rubbed Cyrex's arm. He clasped his palm around my waist and made me calm. I shook my head to convince him to not give his information to my father. He sighed, shaking his head. I breath.
"I'm Cyrex Resere," he said, as if he was confident enough to be sure that he would be frightened.
"Y-you are?" His voice is shaking.
Cyrex's jaw clenched. "I am. So, stop putting a word on my girl before I destroy your reputation. "
He hung up the call. Cyrex inhaled sharply. I don't know what's with this man that makes my father feel like a mouse about to elope. When I look at him as I study his revealing chest, he still has a hair on his chest. Who are you, huh? Why did everyone seem to be afraid of you? "Stop staring at me," he said as he flipped through my phone.
"Tell that motherfucker I'm not going to stop until he kneels at my shoes."
I shook my head. "How did you do that?"
"Do what?" He glanced at me and posed as the phone flickered. He was sighing as I saw him delete those images he had taken.
I grazed over his shoulder. "Like everyone's afraid of you."
"They should be," he interposed, and the phone flickered again. "Oh, no! I hate this stuff. Why can't I be as photogenic as my employees?"
I snatched my phone and started looking through the pictures. God, is this not photogenic? What does he think the term "photogenic" means to him? Goodness. He was just looking at the cam, brows furrowed, but still managed to be god-like.
"I like this one." I pointed at the image with my thumb. He leaned in to see the photo. "Is this not photogenic to you?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. I looked like a man in a mug shot."
"Mug shot, your ass." I punched his chest, and he smirked at me.
"Why?" His voice followed the motion of his lips.
"Never mind." I pulled myself up and walked over to the table. "What is this? Is this yours? "
He focused on the object. "I haven't seen that one. Hand it to me. "
I lift the object and hand it to him. He suspected it properly until I saw him smile. My gaze straightened to the object, and then back to him.
"This is a diamond plaque," he announced. "I got this when I was in the US. I became one of the representatives of our school. At least fifty different universities across the US participated in that event.
I glanced at him. "And you won?"
He half-smiled, nodding. "Fortunately, yes. I represented Harvard University, and yes, we won. Why? "
I shook my head. A Harvard graduate with clear action through some point of distraction.Okay, he really is smart. I can take that.
I lick my lips. "By the way, why Harvard? Why not Oxford, right? "
He looked down below his chest. Breathing, he looked at me with eyes full of genuine response.
"My cousin, Swain, studied there. And I chose Harvard because Lolo came from that university. "
I nodded. "I take it that your grandfather is as smart as you?"
He shook his head. "No, he graduates with the highest honors, and I don't. So, that's why he's smarter than me. "
I frown. "Why? Have you ever gotten Latin honors? "
"I have." His voice is deafening again. "I graduated as the class valedictorian. c*m laude. "
Class valedictorian? c*m laude? In Harvard? Damn, my man is, indeed, smart. What else is he not able to do? But I get that his lolo was higher than his. But he still has the attribute of his lolo that he's using now.
"My man is really smart," I said, grabbing him and kissing his mouth. I'm so lucky to have a smart, dark, pretty, and strong man like you.
He breathed. "I'm not smart. Lolo is. I can tell you that if you study, you can answer. Na-busy rin kasi ako para sa competition, kaya hindi ako masyadong nakapag-aral. "
Wow! He couldn't be able to study well? With Latin honors, huh? From my perspective, I was so happy when I graduated without any recognition. Unlike this man, who has nothing to do with it, he's not even happy that he graduated with such a satisfying march.
"Was that a debate?" I asked, curious.
"Yeah," he said, and then sighed. "We got through that. Who is that man I've seen on your phone? Was that the celebrity your father was quoting?
I can't breathe. I don't know if this is the time to tell him about that. But I somehow know that there is a perfect time for that. I didn't reply. Instead, I brushed his hair with my fingers, pressing his neck with my mouth.
"I'm asking you, Fereine," he repeats without even breathing.
I turned to him. Let's not get into it—
I want to know everything. Did you two have s*x? "
"No—"
"Then tell me!" His voice howled in the room. I rubbed his shoulder, and he heaved a sigh.
"Cy..." I called him out. "Please, let's forget about him."
He looked at me, brows furrowed, clicking his tongue in his cheek. I know there won't be much to cover, but I do hope he will understand me. I don't want this relationship to be ruined. I want him. Only him.
He looked away, taking his hand off of me. I just saw him walking to the door, opened it and heard the sound of a click in my ear. I close my eyes, letting my tears fall even though I want to resist them. You have to tell him everything. I look at the mirror. Should I tell him?
I saw a reflection of a girl. Her eyes were full of melancholic savory that I could even tell she was in a state of recovery. I wiped the corners of my eyes and turned my attention to the phone, taking it in my hand, and scrolled through his pictures. I stared at his lips in the image.
I was about to start the video when the door opened. My eyes anchored on his ash gray eyes. He went in my direction, sighing. I raised my chin, and he then leaned on me to kiss my lips. I replied to his kisses for a few seconds before detaching mine from his, slowly.
He cupped my cheek. "I-I'm sorry. I should not have done that—"
"No. I understand, "I cut him off, snaking my arms around his neck. Don't be sorry for yourself. It's me."
"Darling..." he said, almost in a whisper, and kissed my forehead. “Forgive me. Pardon the action I have executed. I'm sorry... "
"Hush..." I patted his back when he leaned on my shoulder. I kissed his cheek. “Don't be sorry. I know that you're not going to hurt me. Are you?”
He shook his head. I smiled and cuddled his head while he leaned his back into my back. I know that he's not like that. I knew that he would do everything for me. Are you sure? My subconcious taunted me, and I just shook the thoughts in my brain.
