She made her way through the metal detectors and then found her way to Department 17. She saw Brad Caldwell sitting on the other side of the room and gave him a wave. He smiled and waved in return. Stacey sat in the back of the court and waited through a series of pleas and arraignments on six cases. Then the clerk called out “The People of The Commonwealth v.
