The cool air is brushing my cheeks while I run into the forest.
I was pretty sure someone was following me,thats why I ran into the forest like a total psychopath,expecting the worst to come my way.
Like a frightend child,I made my way to an abandoned wooden cabin,the roof filled with snow,leaving it to look like a giant cupcake.
Seeming I was still being followed,I hid inside the cabin,waiting for this unknown person.
I heard the footsteps in the snow getting closer and closer.My eyes widend with suprise as I realized who my stalker was.Kathy...My best friend since childhood.But I honestly have no idea why she would make me think she's this crazy person,chasing me around,trying to kill me.
I run out to give her a big hug and then gave her a punch on the shoulder.
'Why on this crazy damn earth would you chase me around like a demented person!'I scream at her like a todler whining for a cookie.
'I'm so sorry Delta,I did not mean to frighten you,I came with a message from the village...'she said in her formal voice.
'Gosh Kathy,we are alone,you don't have to sound like you are addressing the queen.'I rolled my eyes at my statement.
'Oh but I am addrssing the queen...our new queen.'
'What are you talking about Kathy?'I asked worryingly.
'When you ran from the village,a war broke lose,destroying the whole vilage,and killing most of the people...including your mother,the queen.'
My blood turned cold with her words,and I was so shocked I just stood there like a total i***t,not knowing what to say or do.
'Queen Delta wha...'she wanted to say but I broke her off.
‘Please,don't call me that...I'm not ready.'
'Delta,you need to come back and help your people,please!'her face filled with the desparate need of my approval.
I was really shocked by the news that Kathy gave me.I mean I just went for a walk in the forest,collecting herbs for my medicine and now my whole village has been destroyed by the Vadakin.
The Vadakin has been everyone's enemies for centeries.They hunt and kill supposed witches and vampires and other mythical creatures in every village.
I gave Kathy another glance,her face filled with desprateness.
'Fine,I will come back.Are the Vadakin still at the village?'I asked.
'They left before I started following you into the forest.’
I stood on a hill,staring at the village turned blood red from the fires and the sunset.Tears welling at the corners of my eyes from this terrible site and the news of my mother.
‘But why did the Vadakin attack our village Kathy?’I asked with sorrow and confusion in my voice.
‘There was an alleged complaint made by someone unknown stating that there was a Vampire sighting and a Werewolf attack in the village,but not many people know about it.So when this story broke loose,the Vadakin made sure to get rid of any evil in the village.’
‘And I wonder who made such an statement having to get the Vadakin’s attention?’I wondered.
‘We should find out who it was.Whoever it is could help us find out what is really going on,because I sense foul play here,and its not from the people from the village!’
When we got to the village,the sight hit me in the face,as well as the odor of burning bodies and rotten flesh.People frantically screaming and crying and running around in panic,fires consuming houses and buildings.It was a terrible sight to see.
Gabriel,my elven friend and my mothers throne attendant came running to me in panic and distress.
‘Queen Delta,we need to get these people to safety and give them shelter and food.’Gabriel said out of breath.
Gabriel noticed the pain in my eyes when he called me Queen,and apologized.
‘Gabriel...just give me time to digest the title,I’ll get used to it.’I said calmingly.
‘As you wish Delta.’
I turned around again to see this chaos around me,to think of a plan,to get these people to safety...my people now.
‘Gabriel,we need to get these peoples attention,so that I could make an announcemant.’
