Prologue

'Forgive and forget'

So simple as that— ika nga nila.

But what if, ang tatlong simpleng mga salitang sinasabi nila ay ang pinakamahirap sa taong katulad ko?

A person like me, who witnessed her own sister being shot to death in front of her. And I'm not Priscilla Agape if I don't choose the latter— Vengeance.

MALALIM ang pinakawalan kong buntong hininga ng sa wakas ay nakaupo ako sa upuan. I watched the passengers slowly taking their places inside the plane.

Destination— Philippines.

"Excuse me." Anang baritonong boses ng lalaking katabi ko sa upuan.

I moved a bit and gaze my eyes outside the plane's window. Biglang naibalik ko ang mga mata ko sa lalaking yun ng marinig ko ang pagkakalaglag ng dala nya. He's staring directly at me. Animong nakakita sya ng multo.

"Excuse me? Is there something wrong with my face?" Mataray kamong tanong ko.

I think he's familiar. Like I saw him somewhere. Pero dahil sa mask at salaming nagtatago ng mukha nya ay di ko sya makilala.

"No, I'm sorry."

Napataas ang kilay ko ng bigla itong nagwalk out habang umiiling-iling pa. What's wrong with that guy? I know I'm beautiful, that surely everyone will look at my face. Pero sya ay animong gulat na gulat? Is he possibly.... Nevermind.

A sigh escaped my lips once again. I just wish that awkwardness won't fill the air between us later. Magkatabi pa naman kami, tss. Ilang oras din ang magiging byahe na'to.

Spain have been my home for a very long time. Since my childhood to be exact. My father lives here, and also has his major businesses here. I started traveling because of my work. Sa iba't-ibang mga bansa ako nadidistino. What is my job? Oh, we'll talk about that later.

That guy came back with his head still down. Deritso syang umupo ng walang tingin-tingin saakin. Like there's not an awkward scene that happened just some minutes ago.

I just shook my head. As the plane started to move it's way on the air, that guy and me remained silent the whole ride. Maliban na lamang kung magtatanong ang mga stewardess.

And after that very very long ride from Spain. We finally arrived at the Philippines.

Hindi ko na nakita ang lalaking yun kanina ng makababa sa eroplano. Hindi naman sa binabantayan ko sya ha? I'm just curious about him because of his reaction the first time he saw me. Am I that beautiful? Just kidding.

After many things and that, ay nakalabas din ako sa airport. I've been here in the Philippines many times. But I didn't stayed so long. Just for my job and to visit a very special person.

This time, maybe, I'll stay here for quite some time. For a very important mission.

"Agape!" Napalingon ako sa nagmamay-ari ng boses na'yon.

There I saw one of my friends. Prima. Kumaway ako pabalik sakanya at naglakad papunta sa direksyon nya. We greeted each other with a tight hug.

"Oh my gosh girl! Are staying here? Are you? Please say you will!" She exclaimed.

Hinahawakan ko ang parehong balikat nya para kumalma sya. I chuckled as I look at my friend's excited face.

"Baka mamaya ay magsawa ka sa mukha ko kapag sinabi kong matatagalan akong magstay dito?" I pouted.

"Oh my gosh!" Napatakip ako ng tenga ng bigla ulit dyang sumigaw.

"Lower your voice Prim!" Tinapik ko ang balikat nya.

"Sorry, sorry!" She exclaimed again. Napailing nalang ako. "Let's go! Our friends are waiting."

Lumiwanag ang mukha ko ng marinig iyon.

"All of them?" I curiously said. With the hint of excitement on my voice.

"Hindi lahat. Yung mga free lang." Malungkot na anya. I still smiled.

I know that every one of them are so busy. That's why we appreciate their presence kapag may mga sama-sama.

We took a short drive from the airport to Prima's condo. With music na sinasabayan naming dalawa habang nasa byahe. We saw each other last month in a mission. Nagkita-kita rin kaming lahat na magkaka-ibigan because we had a meeting.

Yeah, tuwing may meetings lang ata kami na kokumpleto. We prioritize our jobs kaya minsan-minsan nalang nagkakaroon ng gatherings.

"We're here." Prim stated.

Napatingin ako sa matayog ba building, bago sinundan si Prima para kunin ang mga bagahe ko. We walked up to her condo while talking about what happened to both of us the past month.

"Ok, I advise that you to ready your heart." Ngiting aniya.

My brows arched. Clueless about what she just said.

Dahan-dahan nyang binuksan ang pintuan. And I think my heart just jumped out of my chest when the sound of the confetti banged. Kasabay non ang mga boses ng mga kaibigan namin.

"Welcome back Agape!"

My mouth hanged open when I saw their faces. Prima lied! They're all here! I can't believe it!

"God, I can't believe you're all here!" I exclaimed.

"Of course! Comeback mo kaya to Pinas." Pahayag ni Venice. Lumapit sya saakin and hugged me.

"And most of our missions ay malapit lang dito. That's why we flew here when we heard from Prim that you're coming home." Ani Elora.

"And she informed us a week ago! Para daw may chance na maraming makapunta." Si Alora naman ang nagsalita.

"Yes, that's why I flew here a week early. Makabalita naman kasi si Prim ay akala ko naka-uwi ka na." Cannais rolled her eyes.

"Tama ka dyan girl! Sabi ba naman, 'Agape is coming home! You should be here!' tas biglang binaba. Kaya akala ko din nakauwi ka na, tsk tsk." Salaysay ni Lisha.

Napatawa kami. Habang si Prim ay nakanguso.

They started to come to my position one by one and greeted me.

"How's Spain?" Amary asked then she hugged me also.

"Spain parin naman." We laughed.

After the greetings and hugs. We ended up on Prima's couch. Sitting comfortably. Yung iba ay nasa sahig. The other's are sitting on Prim's wooden chairs.

"Apat na taon ka ring hindi nakapunta dito sa Pinas." Pahayag ni Nyx.

I smiled bitterly. Kahit gusto akong edistino dito noon ay tinanggihan ko.

"I might do something really bad kung pumunta ako dito sa nakalipas na mga taong yun." Rason ko.

"How are you?" Eirene asked.

"Still sad everytime I think about her. Pero ok naman na." Sagot ko saka ngumiti.

"Can I ask why you suddenly decided to come home?" Tanong naman ni Nef.

We consider Philippines as our home. Especially everytime we gather together.

"I have a mission here." Their brows farrowed out of curiosity.

"Akala ko ay tinanggihan mo lahat ng misyon dito sa Pinas?" Si Fayra ang nagtanong.

"I mean... My own mission." Sagot ko.

"Wait! Let me guess!" Biglang presenta ni Quin. "Is it about that?..."

Hindi nya ito binanggit. They know I don't like mentioning it. But I guess, I should move forward.

"Yes, about my sister's death." I said forwardly.

"You're not thinking about getting revenge or something right?" Paninigurado ni Elora.

Tutok silang nakatingin saakin at naghihintay ng sagot ko.

"Vengeance. That's what I call it." I said proudly.

"Are you sure about that, Agape?" Si Prim na ang nagtanong.

"Yes. Seguradong segurado na."

"If you need my help. I'm always in!" Presenta ni Quin. Napangiti ako.

"We're all in!" They all said in unison.

I know I'm against something big. And thank God that I have friends like them.

"Thank you." Emosyonal kong pagpapasalamat.

"So, tell us your first plan." Nyx said.

"First plan, huh." Napaisip ako kunyari.

"How about stopping a wedding? Does it sounds fun?"
