I didn't move from that door; all I felt was the weight of tension in the air. Allison. Even the name makes my stomach turn, and something inside heaves.
Randall stood between us, his body tensed and his gaze fixated on Allison. He didn't need to say anything to make me understand he knew her. He knew her quite well. He knew what she was capable of doing and wondered why she was back there and what she wanted.
