It was odd because I wanted to laugh at Jason’s reaction. His blue eyes were as big as marbles and his mouth was gaping open. The veins on his neck bulged as he shouted, making his expression look more genuine. If he knew that what I was doing was just an act, then I commend his acting skills. “Shut up, Jason,” I said to add a bit of drama.

I swept a sideways glance at him and saw that he made a face as though he was a bit hurt or offended. I shrugged it off. My eyes shifted back to the fair elf. “And one more thing,” I said to Gwyn. “Since you so desperately want us in the Wild Hunt, I demand that you make me your second-in-command.”
Gwyn had no reaction. “What if I do not agree with your request?”
