Mason's POV
I got to work and Evan was already there. He met me at the door when I arrived.
"Hey, man. I went down to the jail and took care of it already. I'm sorry you got called in, but it's done for today. We can deal with the rest tomorrow."
I was shocked and a little mad because I had to leave Allison for no reason. "That was quick."
"Yeah, I was in the neighborhood. So, I just went and took care of it quick."
In the neighborhood?
"Dude, you live on the other side of town. How were you in the neighborhood?"
Evan looked down. "Katie and I got into a fight. So, I was just driving around to clear my head."
"Wow...You guys never fight. What happened?"
He shook his head. "Dude, I have no idea. She has been acting strange all day. Her moods have been all over the place."
