Chapter 2

773 Words
I wake up due to the constant ringing of my doorbell. Ughh, who could it be at 8 am in the morning? You i***t, to know that you will have to wake up... Gosh, what I would give to get a moment of peace. No matter that, I am sure that now that I am in Mumbai, I will get a lot of peace. When I finally get enough sense, I get up and head out of my room to check who is at the door and give them a piece of my mind. When I open the door, it turns out it's Vishal and Mansoor at the door and they give me a piece of their minds before I can get a word out. "Good Morning to you too guys! " after yelling this to them, I returned to my room to freshen up. I take a shower and return to the kitchen where those idiots are searching for something to eat and boiling milk that they bought for themselves to make coffee. I shove them aside and take over the stove to cook some eggs for breakfast for all three of us. While I am cooking, Vishal is keeping Mansoor and me up on everything that happened in the last few months of his life, since we have been a little out of the loop thanks to our own troubles. As I am finishing plating the food for us along with hot coffee for us to be ready for the day, which, by the way, is going to be hard, since we are going shopping to decorate my small flat a little and make it homier, I tell them all about my new job which, by the way, is roaming all of Mumbai every nook and cranny and write blogs for every place I like. They being happy for me would be an understatement. These two are even happier than me for me being here; even more, for me having free will. After having breakfast, we headed to street markets to look for some curtains, wall art, bookshelves, paint brushes, etc. By the time we are done shopping, it's already 4 in the evening and we are dead tired and hungry as hell. So we buy food and head home to eat, gather energy, and get the decorating my home part started. By the end of the day, we had already completed decorating the hall and kitchen and now only my room is left, which I will be doing on my own. Mansoor leaves early as he has plans for the evening with Diana and we sit, eat and chill through dinner and late into the night. Vishal decides to spend the night here in my hall and I get to my room to sleep all the tiredness off and gather the strength to finish my own room and some work today. The next day, I wake up at 9 and see Vishal off after breakfast because he has an office day and I have pending work to complete. I start with the balcony in my room by placing a bean bag on the far wall and decorating the rest with a rug and a few hanging plants and normal plants here and there, along with some fairy lights on the wall behind the bean bag. Once I am done with the balcony, I start by deep cleaning the room, wardrobe, and washroom. With that out of the way, I set up my wardrobe and had a long shower to soothe the sore muscles, thanks to all the workouts/ cleaning of the whole morning. After having a heavily-packed lunch, I start with my work which, for the moment, is to review all of the recent blogs on Mumbai and its nearby areas. I then make an itinerary to set the schedule and decide when to go where, leaving a day or two in the middle of every place so that I can write a blog on it. I make sure to contact all the important tourist agencies in and around Mumbai to see if they are willing for me to be their freelance writer in exchange for my salary and a few perks, such as free-roaming with the groups they do with paid food and travel, etc. Yeah I know, I am the biggest, baddest and smartest b***h known to you all. But well, to make yourself, you gotta be hard working and smart not just keep working your ass off for a few bucks. With that being the last thought, I went to sleep, to start the new day afresh.
