“Sign it.” The contract hit the table between us. I didn’t look at it. I looked at Vordon. His jaw was tight. Calm on the outside. Calculating underneath. The board members sat around us, pretending not to enjoy this. “I don’t sign documents I didn’t approve,” I said. His eyes flickered. Not anger. Annoyance.
