Elise Teases and Denies
When Vance recovered from his physical shock from the stun gun and his psychological shock at Nastassia’s betrayal, he heeded her advice to let her get away with robbing him. Vance knew that if he complained to anyone, Sable would quickly and thoroughly smear him with those lurid pictures. Furthermore, a small but persistent part of his mentality wanted Nastassia to make him do her bidding, even if her orders put him at her mercy, or under Sable’s total domination.
