Gerald’s POV
I paced in the hallway with different thoughts. I was scared. I was scared for Kaira and at the same time, my heart.
I didn’t want anything to hurt her again and at the same time the thought that she might recover her memory scared me.
I kept hissing and pacing. Regaining her memory meant that I had lost her. I was going to be a sad man all my life if she left.
“What’s going on? Where is my wife?”. “Wife?”the nurse asked, puzzled.
It was at this moment I knew what I said. I smacked my head. I didn’t even know how it slipped out. “What is going on? Is she fine?”, I asked again.
“She is with the doctor, sir”.
I waited in the hallway for about thirty minutes before the doctor walked towards me.
