I wasn't supposed to be here.
The archives were forbidden, and that was 'forbidden' with a capital ‘F’, the chamber was silent, towering shelves filled with old books and scrolls, the smell of old books and dust filling my nostrils.
I was looking for a specific book, I had no idea what it looked like but I knew it would probably be big, bulky and dusty. I needed anything that would tell me about what happened to me two years ago, because I knew Xoraxys's was lying, I hadn't just appeared in the demon realm, I was taken!
There was a rumor that I had once heard, that all the Queen's of Tenebrous had books that documented their entire lives which would appear on the shelves of the archives, the moment they are crowned queen. I had asked Xoraxys if it was true but he had told me it was a myth and nothing more.
Back then I had believe him, I had trusted him but now...
I searched through the shelves, I smirked, “The Testaments of the Queens” I mumbled to myself, this was the shelf I was looking for, now all I needed was to find the right book, my book. My fingers run along the spines of each book on that shelf but I still couldn't find my book.
I searched every part of that shelf but it was nowhere to be found! “f**k!” I cussed, where could it be?
I kept searching, I searched for hours till I found it in a pile of discarded books and scrolls, my finger traced it's spine as I read “The Human Queen of Tenebrous, Jade Tharros” i smiled, though I stilled had questions on how it ended up in the this pile.
I leaned on a shelf and opened it, flipping through the pages, my eyes racing over the ink, the words blurring till I saw a passage that made my brows knit together.
“Jade Tharros, who was then Jade Smith was taken away from her home and brought to the demon realm by–”
Something moved.
And before I could react someone snatched the book from my hands.
I gasped and raise my head.
Xoraxys.
His crimson eyes, glowed under the candle light, unreadable and dangerous.
I swallowed hard.
“What are you doing here meum cor?” his voice gentle, not giving away the anger I knew he was feeling. He examined the book, his expression darkening as he did.
“Why did you lie to me?” I had to confront him, I needed the truth.
His gaze returning to the book before looking back at me, “What do you mean?” was he seriously going to play dumb with me?!
I clenched my fist “You took me away from my family! My home! You lied to me when you said I ended up here on my own!”
A flicker of annoyance crossed his features. He took a step closer, trapping me between the shelf and him, he raised the book and summoned flames to burn it, it partially burned then he tossed it away as if it was nothing of important.
“You don't need this” he murmured as his fingers brushed against my jaw, “All you need to do is believe me and what I have told you”
I glare, “Believe your lies!”, his expression darkened and the temperature in the room dropped.
“I need you to be obedient and listen to me Jade”
I scoff, “Why? So that you could manipulate me? Control me?” Finally I dared to ask the question I feared to ask, the one that could shatter everything, “W-where you the one who erased my memories?”
His body tensed, and for a slight moment I thought I saw guilt but then...
He sighed, as if disappointed in me, yes! In me! Then in one swift move, he grabbed my wrist and pinned it against the shelf, pressing his body against mine.
“Tell me” He leaned in, his warm breath against my ears “If I said yes what would you do, hm? Would you leave? Go back to the mortal realm and continue your life as though nothing happened?” his grip tightening slightly, it wasn't painful, but it was enough to tell me who was in charge.
“You're right Jade... I took you. I made you forget. I made you mine.” his confession made something in me break, I felt my heart shatter and my eyes sting.
“How, how could you?!” my voice trembling as I spoke, I searched his face for remorse, guilt, anything that said he was sorry, but there was none.
Instead a slow, dark, wicked smile grew on his face “I did what I had to do to keep you by my side, and I would do it over and over again if I must”

Xoraxys
She was fighting me again.
Her emerald green eyes burned with defiance, the same ones that looked at me with so much love, now filled with hate and disgust. I didn't like this, we weren't going back to square one!
I leaned in, brushing my lips against the lobe of her ear, my voice low “Forget about the past Jade, look at all we've built in the last two years, forget the past, and focus on me, your present and future”
Her breathe hitched, she hated me, but her body didn't. Her body never lied, it always reacted to my touch, the way her pulse fluttered beneath my fingers, the way her breathe came faster when I touch her, she couldn't deny the desire she felt for me, not now, not ever.
She could fight me with words, but her body would always betray her.
I pressed a kiss against her neck, enjoying the way her body shuddered despite herself, “I could make you forget again” I mummured against her skin “Then everything would go back to how it was”
Her words came sharp, “Don't you dare!”
I chuckle, the sound low and dark, “You think you have a choice?”
She tried to free herself from my hold, “Let me go Xoraxys!”
I sigh, considering her demand for a while, then I release her. She stumbled back a bit, caressing the place I kept under my grip.
I smirk, “Stop fighting Jade”
She glared at me, “Screw you Xoraxys! You don't own me!”
I laughed, “Are you sure meum cor?”
She clenched her fist but didn't argue, she knew she was mine, that she belonged to me and only me!
I saw hate burn in her eyes, I wasn't a fool, she was slowly slipping out of my control.
Which meant one thing– it was time to remind her of who she belonged to.
Time to make her forget again— this time for good.
