Jade stood before an onnate mirror, her reflection staring back at her, yesterday's events replaying in her head.
"Jade?" Xoraxys called as he wrapped his arms around her waist and watched their perfect image, at his touch her once tensed body calmed down, "You can't imagine how relived I was when the maids told me you were awake"
Her eyes met his in the mirror, his crimson eyes burned with love, love for her.
"Am sorry about Lilith" he apologized, Jade sighed even in her last moment she still managed to make an impact in their lives, her mind reeled back to her words 'The memories he took from you' who was he?
"Why did you kill her before she could finish the spell?" Jade's voice barely a whisper.
Xoraxys' expression turned sour "That spell was to harm you!"
"But what if it wasn't?" Her curiosity getting the better of her "What if she could help me regain my memories?"
Xoraxys scoffed "If I couldn't get you your memories what makes you think Lilith can" he had a point, he was one of the most powerful beings in the world. Xoraxys turned her to face him, his red eyes meeting her emerald ones, "They'll come back just be patient okay?" He waited for her to respond.
Xoraxys sighed then placed a light kiss on her lips "It's just that I don't know who I am" her voice trembling as she spoke.
"You are the queen of Tenebrous, my wife, my life, my everything" Xoraxys answered but that didn't help, doubt danced in her eyes, in her head Lilith's words stood strong.
Him? Who was 'he'?
She raised her head.
Xoraxys?! NO! She quickly erased the thought from her mind, he was the love of her life and would never do that to her!
His palms cupped her cheeks and a reassuring smile on his face. He leaned in and kissed her, his lips passionately claiming hers as he led her to their matrimonial bed!

Jade's heels clicked against the marble floors she followed Xoraxys to the grand throne room, after Lilith's little stunt yesterday they wouldn't stop demanding an audience.
Jade took a deep breath in before entering, she could feel their eyes on her, judging every step she took but either way she held her head high.
She sat on her throne next to Xoraxys. Meetings with the demon Council never ended well and she was sure today was no exception.
"Your imperial Majesty" it was Arcturus, he was always the first person to speak. He loved to question Xoraxys authority and Xoraxys loved to put him in his place. Most of the time he would leave with only a few scratches.
"Let's get to the point I don't have all day" his voice dripping with boredom, typical of her husband.
"Your highness... I heard yesterday..." It was Asmodeus, Lilith's older brother. Jade almost felt bad Asmodeus was a good person whereas his sister...
"She attacked my queen again!" Xoraxys' voice thick with anger "I had spared her the first time she when she killed my unborn child!" Jade's eyes moved to her belly, she tried her best to not remember the pain of losing her child "I did that out of the friendship we had Asmodeus... But..."
I understand your majesty" Jade could hear the pain in his voice. "It's my fault for not raising her well"
"Since we're on the topic" Arcturus butted in, his eye moved to Jade "It's been a year since her majesty lost her child..." Not this again, Jade clenched her fist, Arcturus really had a thing for annoying her "Why hasn't she conceived another heir!" He smirked, looked dead in eyes and spoke "If the queen in unable I suggest we find his Majesty another woman, a demon perhaps, one who isn't as careless."
The room's temperature dropped, she could feel Xoraxys silent rage, "Jade don't you have other matters to attend to" in other words, 'I don't want you see the bloodshed' After excusing herself, she left to her study.
She dropped herself on the floor the moment she closed the doors. She hated meeting with the council, they always found a way to remind her of the child she lost, of the foolish choices she had made.
After suffocating in her grief she got up from the floor... "Lyrien?" She called, a man suddenly appeared by her side. Lyrien was her shadow guard and the only person except from Xoraxys she could trust.
He was tall, maybe close to Xoraxys' height, had a well built body and a well chiseled face, a scar across his eye. He had this sort of manly handsomeness.
His grey eyes searching for any sort of danger.
"Your majesty?" His voice brought her back to reality. "Did you want anything" he smile got her lost in a trance again. She quickly snapped out of it, sometimes it felt as though he was trying to seduce her!
"Oh... Is-" she stopped when her head started to hurt, it was like someone had stabbed her brain, the pain burning her soul causing a scream to erupt from her throat, and just like that everything from her that it all went black!
