Ransom for the Hostage

Kira ordered for dinner and went out to receive her order when she saw Axel heading to the exit. After he moved in with her, he took the room next to hers, and she has been in her room all day without intending to go out. She has received a lot of negative comments about her appearance, but his comments hurts her most. After he said she was unique she felt special, only for him to break her heart between 24 hours of his compliment.
“’l’ll get it,” he said.
“I can get it, it’s my order,” she protest.
“I also ordered,” he said, and smiled brightly before leaving.
“Why is he smiling to an ugly fatty?” she thought, in annoyance.
He received the order and she collected her package from him.
“That’s mine,” he said, and she returned it.
“I’m sorry,”
“Here is yours,”
She collected hers, and intend to leave but he held her back.
“Let’s have dinner together,”
“No, you’re here to work so don’t let us mix work with pleasure. What am I even saying? There is no such thing as pleasure between us,” she said, and turned to leave.
“Kira, about what you heard me say earlier, I’m sorry,” he said, and she turned to look at him.
“Why are you sorry?”
“Don’t allow me repeat myself. I can count the amount of times I have said sorry in my life,”
“So who forced you to apologize?”
“Because you’re different,” he said, and she looked at him.
“I don’t understand the reason, but you’re special to me and it hurts when you misunderstood me. I can’t clarify my actions, but I can apologize for it,” he said, and she looked at him. The only words ringing on her head was his first statement.
“I’m special?” she repeated.
“Yes, you’re special,” he said, and she looked at him.
She was blinded by anger when she came out that she didn’t notice how breathtaking he looks; he was only on a short, exposing his manly body. “Are we good now?” he asked, walking closer to her.
She looked at him in lust, and the plastic bag with her fell off, “How am I special?” she found herself asking.
He walked closer to her and helped her adjust her hair properly, “I am also confused, searching for the answers to that,” he said, and kissed her passionately.
She broke the kiss and looked at him, “Asher, let’s both not regret whatever happens next,” she said and he creased her jaw line, and a soft moan escaped from her lips.
“Neither should it change our status as employer and employee,” he said, and she nodded.

Ms. Teresa looked at the Professor who seems confused on how to explain his patient’s health status to her.
“Ms. Teresa, I would prefer to discuss this with the Chairman,” he said, and she chuckled.
“Why? I’m her legal guardian. So, what do you want to discuss with the Chairman?” she asked, and Lucas started thinking of what to say, “It looks like you’ve nothing to say. When you’re back to your right self, you know how to reach me,” with that, she left.
“What now, Lucas?” Piper asked.
“Something is off, it seems like Teresa knows that I’m not Kelvin
“That’s not possible. If I wasn’t aware of the plan, I would’ve mistaken you as the doctor,”
“That’s the point, Piper. When I first met Teresa at the hospital, it felt like she could see me and I did all tricks to confirm that which eventually prove otherwise. But now, I could really tell that she knew I’m not Kelvin. She shouldn’t have asked me after your health when she and my brother are in this together. Something is off, we’ve to confirm this,”
“What do we confirm?” she asked, confused.
“ “If she could see us. You’ve to confirm now to prepare our next move.”
“How do I confirm that?” she asked, with a sigh.
“Piper, you can’t take this lightly, there is very little I can do in this body,”
“Then come out,” she whined.
“I can’t, unless Asher asked me to. I haven’t even done anything significant yet,”
“Ok,” she nodded, pouting her lips together.
“Come on, Piper!”
“You can’t shout that way, remember you are in a human body. And I have heard, tell me how to go about it,”
“You’ve to go after her, and maybe try to possess her son or something,”
“I don’t know how to possess someone, I’ve never done it before, so not now that I’m in my third year,”
“That’s true, you might get stuck in the body and become an evil spirit. So just do it your way,” he said, and hurried away.
“Hey! Wait! Lucas, you can’t just leave,” she shouted.
“What do I do now?” she thought.
She went out to the parking lot and saw Ms. Teresa there like she was waiting for someone. Piper smiled, and entered the passenger’s seat.
“Lucas is wrong this time, I don’t think she can see me,” she muttered, and the car drove off.

Lucas pretended to be sick to escape the hospital tasks, he received treatment in his office while waiting for Piper. He waited till it’s late at night, but she didn’t appear; so he started getting worried and decide to go to Asher.
He drove out of the hospital heading to Asher’s house. It took him few minutes to get the house, and a maid went upstairs to get Asher.
“How may I help you?” Asher asked, oblivious to who he was.
“Asher, it’s me. Lucas,” he said, and Asher gave him a look.
“It’s you Lu…-“. he was saying, when he instantly realized, “Oh, Lucas. You look… come on, let’s go to my room,” he said, and they both ascend the stairs.

“Is Piper here ?” Lucas asked.
“No, isn’t she with you? We talked about you this morning, and she suddenly disappeared. I thought she went to you,” Asher said.
“Yes, she did. But she left later,”
“To where?” Asher shouted.
“I asked her to go after Teresa,”
“You asked her to do what?” Asher shouted. “Why would you ask her to do that?”
“Relax, Asher. I can explain,” Lucas said, and sat him down to explain the situation to him, leaving Asher alerted.
“What? Why would you allow her do that? And why didn’t you tell us when you thought that Teresa could see ghosts?”
“It was just an assumption, and when I confirmed it, it appeared false until now,”
“You should have still shared it with us, we’re a team Lucas! And that’s what we call teamwork,”
“I’m sorry,”
“You gotta get out of that body now and go look for Piper. What if that woman do something to her? You should’ve thought about that before sending Piper there without even consulting me,”
“Fine, I’ll leave.” Lucas said, and intend to take the exit.
“Where on earth are you going?” Asher shouted, dragging him back.
“If I want to leave the body, I can’t do it here. Maybe in the car or somewhere else, then I can go look for Piper,”
“Better, get to that,”

Lucas drove off heading to nowhere and left Kelvin’s body in a remote area before he vanished.

Kelvin looked at himself, wondering how he got there, the last thing he remembered was going to work, so he got confused wondering how he got there.
“What’s happening to me?” he thought, and took his phone to call a fellow Professor who is a neurosurgical specialist.

Axel opened his eyes, watching Kira as sleep peacefully beside him. The image of all that happened last night flashed on his head again, and he hit himself for enjoying it. He was never a gentleman, he never settles for one lady, and above all, he never went after a lady like Kira. Everything about her is not his type, but he can’t control himself from wanting her. He looked at her, wondering what’s special about her, but her appearance is the only thing that makes her different from other women that he had been with. He touched her face, and she pout her lips cutely, and he instantly felt the urge to kiss her.
“F¥ck what’s wrong with you?” he almost shout, and left her room.
He went to his room and retired to the bathroom to think; as the water wet his body, the image of everything replayed on his head. It’s not his first time being with a woman, but he can’t understand why his first night with Kira won’t stop bothering him.
“Did I do something wrong?” he thought, but shove the thought away when he realized that it’s not possible for him to keep remembering it if it he regretted it, “Did I enjoyed it that much?” another thought came to his mind, and he started fighting his subconscious.
“What are you doing to me, Kira?” he almost shout, throwing his fist in the air, “You’ve to focus, Axel, focus. She thinks you’re Asher, and she is gonna h@te you the moment she finds out that you’ve been deceiving to her. So you gotta maintain your best behavior, make a lot of money off her, and disappear right after,” he remarked, before leaving the bathroom.

Piper opened her eyes, and was surprised to see herself in a cage. The last thing she remembered was entering Teresa’s car before she passed out, waking up in a cage was very confusing.
“What’s happening to me?” she muttered, and intend to teleport but she couldn’t find the strength to.
“What’s going on? Why can’t I teleport?” she muttered, and intend to pass through the cage, but a force sent her back, “What’s happening to me ?”
“Many things are happening to you, my dear,” she heard a voice said, and she looked around in confusion.
“Who are you? And why did you caged me here?” she asked, in fear.
“You gotta figure out that yourself, darling,” the voice said.
“Who are you? Show yourself?” she shouted.
“Bye, darling. It’s time to get your ransom,” the voice said, fading off.
“Help me, Asher, please help me,” she cried, in fear.
