There's extra people in the ballroom but none of us care. We go to the head table.

Daddy yells over everyone, "MY PRINCESS, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"WE WANT TO SIT UP HERE DADDY."

Momma nods and her and Asa come up. Asa trips and catches herself. "Stupid shoe."

"We'll sit with you. It's a good view."

Asa smiles. "You're right, that man is sexy."

Me and Thora stare at her. "What man?"

I turn to Tye. I give him a hug. He hugs me right back. "My prince." I snuggle into him.

Tre pulls me off. "No, you are Dipak's mate for these people."

"UGH. Are you guys starting the mate wars again?"
