ALISA'S POV;
I was shaking,literally shaking and his grip wasn't soft.He was dragging me down the fleet of stairs with no remorse whatsoever. He then settled me on the sofa quite roughly before standing beside me.
'Speak up Mica.Start from the beginning and don't skip a part because if you do this won't end well'
'Talk.Do it,lie to me again'
I couldn't talk he had just shunned me straight to dumbness. He was fuming and my state made things worse. I needed to talk or he would swallow me alive.
It had been a Thursday afternoon, I had been downtown in the stores buying some wraps. The coming Saturday was his 23rd birthday and I was gonna at least get him a present.The present was already bought hidden in my closet and the wraps were the only thing remaining. I had an appointment with Dr Lontient the family doctor due to my recent cases of nausea before Tony found out I was unwell and hiding it from him.That's when I bumped into Chrissie ,he's recent ex or so,from what I had heard.
'Well well what do we have here if it isn't the b***h who stole my man'
I just glared at her and moved away just to have her grab me by my hand.
'What?When did you become dumb?'
'I'm not dumb just not interested in anything you want to say'
'No one said I was saying anything I just wanted to show you this'
And there in her phone were photos of her with Tony in Amber Rosa his island .They were cuddled up and she was all over him.
'Hmm I knew you wouldn't believe me if I just told you,so this is good enough for you'
'It can't be......he was here'
'Oh no Alisa,you remember the business trip?'
Yaah ,I did .The one he couldn't get out off.He even said he couldn't go with me to Newton to see Esther for her baby shower.But he couldn't would he?
'Bye bye .Do have fun at my expense but you remember I will always be his rock even when you force him to sleep in the guestroom'
The argument? How did she know about it ?Unless whatever she said was true.She left me there shaken not knowing what to do.I was meeting Tony for a lunch date and I would need to pretend like nothing happened. I needed to oversee this,isn't that most women would do?He was doing everything for me and one mistake couldn't be the end for us.I took a cab to the doctor's office and came up with a resolution.
I sat on the check up bed shaken awaiting the doctor to come back with the results.I don't think I had ever been shaken like I was right now.The doctor would be coming back any minute now with life changing results.I bit on my lip anxiously as her lab coat came into view,this was it Alisa.
'I was right.Congratulations Alisa,you are two months pregnant.'said a smitten doctor.I had to give to her,she was pretty good at her job.The minute I walked in her office,she had claimed I looked different like most women..who were pregnant.Two months pregnant,and I had no clue.No one could blame me with the recent activities that had occurred. Tony had proposed and stated the wedding would follow in a month's time,Esther was having a shower and my mother was remarrying. I walked away after asking the Doctor to keep this a secret and as I walked into the streets the resolution I had made in the cab,faded as a new one came up.I was no longer alone,a life was growing inside of me and it came before all,even my happiness
