11.Jealous much.

1179 Words
I got into the diner and grabbed a sit way off Austin's side. He had no right to be here and I wouldn't go to him.  Before the waitress could make it to my table, green eyes had pulled a chair and was looking at me. "Muffin I stay away for two years and this is how you welcome me back. What a shame!" "You didn't stay away,I ran" "Hmm I let you ran. Muffin you couldn't hide even if you tried. How's the fiancé? Heard he is here" So he knew about Tony, what didn't he know? We ordered pancakes and I couldn't miss the connection we had. Within minutes we were laughing and talking like nothing had happened. I had missed this,we were always friends before his feelings. With him there was no pressure no mixed emotions, he didn't force what he felt. I was Lisa with him and not a prestigious trophy to a tycoon. I wished I didn't have to choose between what I wanted and felt. With Tony everything had been an issue. The dress I wore, the shoes,my smile and I always had to look happy, the paparazzi were everywhere and who knew when they would be snapping. I had been on the tabloids as the mysterious lover to the Italian tycoon and Tony was said to been completely swoon by me. They had to be wrong because the only one who was swoon was me. He never showed me affection unless we were in public where it was always a chaste kiss or the possessive hold on the waist. It was always a kiss until his American deal which he had worked hard for. It had been amazing we had dinner which he cooked ,danced and talked. But that had been it ,the day went forgotten never to be mentioned. He wasn't all lovey dovey and God was he jealous. He would send any male servant packing if they ever maintained more than a second look at me,not forgetting the one who actually smiled at me. I never heard what happened to him, Finn only emphasized everything was taken care of. He never had me leaving the house without him,no one was allowed to meet me even Esther. His sister had been the only friend I had but no meeting without him. He would sit there not flinching listening to hours and hours of girl talk. Esther would even try awkward issues to talk about to have him leave but no he wouldn't budge. But with Austin it was easy peasy, no drama and no lies. He knew me inside out and appreciated all I was. I had been lying to Tony all along except the fact that I really loved him. I'd never go back and regret that part cause it gave me the best part of my life,my monkey. I knew sooner or later he would confront me about the files that I so called stole. I didn't mean to plan it all and steal from him neither did I plan the part where I fell in love with him. I was repaying the old man a favor after he had saved my Mom not once but twice. I was gonna tell him everything after I found out I was with child. He was going to be mad but he would forgive me eventually, I had hoped. I had been too silent when green eyes reached out and pulled his chair towards me. "Its going to be fine, don't worry. He has no clue where you are and I bet your guy will protect you no matter what" Well I wasn't worried about protection I just wanted him to understand that I did what I had to and the task wasn't complete I didn't steal the files. Just then green eyes reached out and wiped tears I didn't know existed, just in time for me to see the black Auto park. Lia then came through the door, searched for me and came straight into my arms. As I reached for her to sit on my lap I couldn't miss the look on Tony. He looked him, calm and serene staring back at where Austin's hands were on my elbow. Before I gathered the courage to approach him he had moved and taken Lia off my laps onto his. He didn't even look at Austin just focused on what Lia was saying about how I never let her drink shakes before bed. It was silent and I just couldn't  stop thinking of how we had gone from bad to worse. I mean he wouldn't even look me in the eye when Lia asked if she could have ice cream and they were consulting me. We ended up taking a chocolate shake in a large takeaway cup and we were off to the car. Before I entered the car I stood and waved back at Austin who was getting into a cab. He just nodded and off he went. If Lisa had looked further from the cab she would have noticed the old man's car and how he was frustrated given he had given his son a chance to prove himself and he had still fallen prey to the stupid girl who didn't keep a promise. She would have also noticed the girl in the black coat whose chance had come again to make the old man happy and the satisfied grin on her face that she would be coming face to face with an old friend once again. Austin shook his head several times to calm himself, he knew her well enough to know she wasn't happy. If only Alisa had said yes to his proposal they would have been far away from everything and she would have been happier than ever. Maybe Lia could have been his to raise and they could have another baby, all he wanted was her. He didn't care if she came with a child,he would gladly accept her. He wished he could drag her away from that Tony guy and give them a chance at true love. Lisa was almost falling for him that was if the guy didn't come out of nowhere and swept her off her feet before Austin had the courage to ask for more than holding hands and movies kinda of relationship. Austin had been trying a lot with her,it had taken five months for her to finally agree to go on a date with him. She had kept on saying that they had more important things on their plates like the fact that Montero was in the chase for them and a relationship wasn't what they needed at that time. But Tony just appeared and she forgot about him to the extent she left him. He was hurt but now he had to focus on how he would get rid of his Father's trail on Alisa. He also had to find out the woman whom his father had continuously praised to be perfect for the job that had been assigned to him. To find Lisa at all costs.....
