13. Leaving.

Lia pushed her suitcase across the room thrilled about the trip,the sudden trip no one told me about. The sudden events had been everything but a blast,not once had I dreamed of this dreadful day. I sorted out my remaining clothes and put them in the large trunk. All our clothes would go to donations as Tony insisted he would buy us new clothings. I then put my hair down and joined Anna in the living room where we awaited Tony. A big security meeting was taking place in the kitchen and all could be heard was Tony's shouting. We would be leaving in a few and our destination would be Venice and all I could think of was the argument we had minutes ago.
"We are leaving"
"What???!!!"
"You heard me,pack your bags. Don't carry anything,I'll arrange for the clothing"
"I can't leave..We can't leave. We've been here long enough for Lia to call this home and I can't take that from her."
"Lia can adapt in Florence,she's too young to know anything. The only question here is you,why are you so consistent?"
"I'm not leaving..I still have a life here and..'
" and what Mica,What?'
"Austin..'
" Of course,we forgot about green eyes! The one and only green eyes. What now?! Because he's back you go falling at his feet and everything else is forgotten. After all this I can't believe you choose him,even after all that has happened. Okay,you stay. I'm taking Lia and this is the last you will hear of us.'
'You can't do that,she's mine'
'Of course she is,just as she is mine and we all know with everything I can prove about her life here no judge would let her have average when she can have everything including the best. You and I both know what money can do Lovee'
'You can't take her from me Tony,I would never allow it!!'
'Well,I would like you to try and stop me Mica,give it your very best shot! You have a choice Mica,Lia or Austin. Either way you of all people should know what's good for you. Beforehand, I would like to inform you I don't wish to derive my child of her mother but if you are to mention that man's name again it will not end well,especially with you behind bars...'
'I...I..can't believe you!!!!'
'Neither can I. Life is cruel and just measures are to be met,I will see you downstairs and you will be ready by then?!'and with a grip of my hand he ushered me out of my room,kissing it and shutting the door on my face.
I was devastated and shunned as I left the place I had called home all along. Lia was in her dad's arms as the door to the limo was opened for me and I couldn't miss the glint of mischief in her eyes. She was enjoying this, after all she was her father's daughter. I sat rather comfortably and the limo set off to the airport where an all black jet awaited. I had missed flying in the beauty he had gifted me for my birthday,the same gift I had left behind. We were going back to where it all started the beautiful city of Venice and all I could picture was a sixteen year old me swoon completely by the grey eyes staring at me contently as he buckled my daughter closer in his hold. It seemed like it was just yesterday when I had met him and how my life had changed since then. If my sixteen old self would see me today,I think she would be so disappointed cause nothing had gone according to plan and I had failed everyone that mattered. I straightened my legs and settled into the all familiar seat,it was going to be a long ride and I would rest for awhile. I shut my eyes and drifted to sleep.
I had been staring at the black and purple dress from the windshield when I first saw him. The prom was approaching and I needed a gown before the month ended. I had been completely swoon by it and the only thing that was stopping me from entering the shop to get it was the fact I couldn't get enough of it. Out of nowhere came a black Ferrari and that's when I first saw him,he was getting out of the car. A blonde girl then came from the store and ran into his arms,all I could see was his leather jacket clad back. He crossed the road holding her hand and opened a door for her entrance into the car. That's when he came face to face with me and I could swear I couldn't see a thing beyond his eyes. To say they were a beautiful pair would be diminishing and not only those but his whole physique was breathtaking. For a minute,the world stopped and I stood there staring into the deep pools of grey until none of us were moving. He stood there looking at me for a split second before he got into his Ferrari and before I knew it they were off. Shaking my head I entered the shop and bought the dress with the money from the old man before I got a call saying plans had changed and that I wouldn't be going to meet the old man but crashing the Delavega boy's party at the frat house in two days time. I would be going with some Austin dude that worked for the old man to make sure no mistakes would happen and that everything would go as planned
