Serena's POV.
"What the f**k, Matt?" I said as our eyes met. The waiter soon left, leaving me alone with him.
He parted his lips in a smile, maintaining eye contact with me.
"You don't know how long I have waited and how hard I have tried, just to set my eyes on you."
"What are you doing here?" I finally said when I found words. "You shouldn't be here."
"I'm here for you." Matt said, taking my hand. "Is it true?"
I quickly gave a response, "Is that true?"
He twisted my hand, brought it close to his eyes and looked closely at my finger. "You're wearing a ring. This is his ring."
"I'm wearing a ring," I said. "And, yes. It's his ring."
"What did I do wrong, Serena? Were you double dating?"
"No. Everything happened after you and I broke up."
