Maddie
"We should get ready" Stephen announced pulling me out of my thoughts. I looked up at him as he stood from where he previously sat beside me, looking back at me with an assuring smile as I nodded.
Derek watched us quietly before the two left my room, Stephen leaving first and Derek bidding me a goodbye before following behind the older. My mother had now returned to her own room, leaving almost as soon as we arrived back to my room, not so eager for updates of what had happened but Averie had sat quietly on the chair by the window throughout the entire conversation.
When the boys finally left she spoke up, "what happened?" She asked, sitting down next to me, on my right side, opposite to where Stephen had sat earlier.
