Maddie POV
When I got to my room to get ready for my date, Averie had already prepared everything: an aromatic bath with flower petals, which I didn't even know we had at home, and carefully chosen clothes spread out on the bed.
"What's this here? A surprise spa?" I asked, arching my eyebrow.
"It's the most important afternoon of your life so far. I'm not going to let you go on this date without looking perfect," she replied, with a victorious smile on her face.
I sighed, but deep down I was grateful. Averie was the best friend anyone could have. Not only had she helped me buy that dress, but she was also making sure I felt like a queen.
"Now, go take a shower. And I don't want to hear any complaints!"
