Averie
It was another day with me at Maddie's house, a place that I think I could now call home. I loved being there; even though my role was to serve Maddie, I was already like a sister. It was so good to finally have someone my age to talk to. When she left, I went upstairs and finished tidying up the room and the bathroom she used. Maddie looks beautiful and radiant that day, and I could only do my part. I cleaned the room, tidied the clothes, and put on perfume so that she came back and found everything organized and clean.
After a while I heard voices downstairs, but they were familiar to me; it was Maddie's friend Sandy, who I also considered one.
“Hi Sandy,” he said, “you around here?”
"Hey. Yes, I came to keep you company; I’m tired of staying at home.”
