The sun was shining brightly over the campus, but I couldn't shake the whirlwind of thoughts in my head. Ever since my argument with Tiffany the night before, my mind had felt stuck in a confusing web of feelings. Maddie. His name appeared like a constant drumbeat in my consciousness. I liked her—more than I should have, more than I admitted, and certainly more than was healthy, considering that Derek, my twin brother, also seemed to be interested in her.
