CHAPTER 24: The Search

1220 Words
Romina Cristi posted just now HELLO EVERYONE, I am posting this, asking for help if you saw or knew this woman’s location, please inform us. Her name is Julieta Alfonso. Please do inform us if you know her or her location. You can directly DM me via Messenger. Thank you so much for your help. [one photo attachment] ---------- “Done. I already posted it on my f*******: account and I also made a video on t****k about it—though I don’t know if it’ll reach a bunch of audiences and if it’s a good option to do so I still did post all about her so we could gain more attention and we could find her immediately,” Romina grinned as she patted Luciel’s head. “Of course, it’s all thanks to your talent in arts, Luciel. You did a very good job sketching Miss Julieta’s face after Mister Romeo gave you details on how she looked like.” “Of course! I am beyond talented than you, humans,” Luciel said, proudly then he glared at Romina. “Are you underestimating your guardian that much, Romina?” “Uh, yeah? You’re actually acting like an i***t sometimes.” “Ack, the audacity you have, Romina!” “And also the ego you have, Luciel.” “I thank you so much for your help,” Romeo bowed at them. When he raised his head to look at them, he smiled. “I am very, very thankful that you helped me.” “Nah, don’t thank us. If it isn’t to this hu—aw!” “Of course, sir. We’re glad to help you out,” Romina grinned as she kept on pinching Luciel’s back while the latter was wincing and hissing. She glared at him and whispered. “As of you, search around the place and find any traces of Miss Julieta. We have to find her as soon as possible.” “You’re such a bossy human,” with a sigh, Luciel nodded. “Yes, ma’am. I’ll do it.” “It’s been four days and I haven’t received any messages in my Messenger,” Romina sighed as she sat beside Romeo on the school garden’s bench. She, then, looked at the sky and saw Luciel flying towards them. When he finally landed, she immediately asked. “How’s your trip? Did you find any traces?” “I found some, especially that house that her family-owned but the caretaker said which is, like, the descendant of the first caretakers of the Alfonso family, they said that Julieta ran away and they didn’t receive any news about her. She didn’t leave any traces where and when she ran away. It’s not that difficult for me to find her to be honest but seeing that she just left few traces of her makes the search kind of impossible. Of course, for you humans. My tiny demons are on it.” “If that’s the case that she ran away without any traces, we have to boost my post to reach many audiences and to be easy for us to find her.” “If she’s still alive,” Luciel said, crossing his arms after he flapped his wings and hid it. “What if she’s already dead—aw!!! What the f**k, Romina?!” Romina slapped his arm again and glare. “Don’t say that! Don’t say that, you bad demon! You’re making him upset!” “What? I just said, “if”! Since she left without any traces, I just have had that hunch that she’s—” “Don’t you dare finish that sentence, Luciel!” “No-No, it’s-it’s okay…” Romeo told her in a low voice. “I-I think, it’s enough. You’ve done enough to help me so far. If-If, Luciel is right, then I might as well pass the afterlife.” “No, you can’t do that yet,” the two of them looked at Romina who looked so determined. “Whatever the possibilities of what happened to Miss Julieta, we shouldn’t give up on searching her. We have to be certain. We have to search for her whether she’s dead or still alive but I am sure and I could feel it and I still believe that she’s still alive and probably waiting for you. So we shouldn’t give up. Whatever happens, you should meet her. So don’t give up and don’t lose hope too, Mr. Romeo.” Luciel stared at his human. I can’t believe she’s telling him such words. Isn’t she aware that she’s technically giving him false hopes? Romeo stared at her in awe. He couldn’t help but smile after she said those words to him. “Yes, you’re right. I shouldn’t give up. I should meet Julieta.” Romina grinned and did a fist pump. “That’s the spirit, Mister Romeo!” Luciel whispered. “He’s technically a spirit already, Romina.” Suddenly, Luciel looked up in silence as his eyes started to gleam in crimson red. Romina woke up with her post on f*******: boosted in 1k shares and her video in t****k boosted in almost 70k views. Some of the audiences reached out to her saying that the girl in the sketch portrait she posted was familiar to them and gave her some connections and traces about the said woman but none of them was accurate enough for Mister Romeo. As of Luciel, the night after their conversation, he suddenly went out and didn’t come back for two days already that even the tiny demon named L couldn’t tell her his master’s exact location. They started to lose hope. “Some people actually reached out to me that Miss Julieta looked familiar to them but none of them are accurate enough to tell us details about her.” Romina couldn’t help but sigh. “I’m sorry for failing you on this, Mister Romeo.” Romeo smiled at her in encouragement. “You don’t need to apologize, Romina. In fact, I should be the one to apologize since I dragged you on this and bothered you to search for her. I guess Luciel was right. She’s probably old and dead already. I already thought about it and I already accepted it,” Romeo stood up and smiled at her again. “I should accept it and I’ll pass the afterlife.” “But Mister Romeo—” “It’s okay, Romina. I understand and accepted it already. I should accept my fate and just pass the afterlife already,” Romeo told her then he turned his back to her. “Is that really easy for you humans to give up?” Both Romina and Romeo turned their heads to Luciel who’s now standing proudly at them while crossing his arms. “Are you that willing to pass the afterlife without even seeing your lover even for the last time?” “Luciel! You’ve been missing for almost two days! Where have you been?” “What do you mean?” Romeo asked. The demon just stared at them in silence. “Luciel, what do you mean—” Romina’s eyes suddenly widen as she spoke again. “You mean…?” “I found her. Julieta Alfonso. Your lover. And yes, she’s still alive.”
