CHAPTER FOUR

1080 Words
RELIX'S POV “Hey Renbus, it is nice seeing you again," as he was about to devour the last flesh at his sight. Knowing no reason why he was called, did he wait for courtesy to take his place? “Well, you may be wondering why I called you," he said, not shifting his gaze from his business. Expecting no answer to his statement as he continues further, “For years now, Mayor's Pack has had its head above all Packs.”. Renbus saw there was something more to this, as he saw the initial statement as a preamble. Relix continues, “with no recorded affront, but the reverse has been the case as Twilight Pack has refused to pay tribute, which has been unheard of in the history of Mayor's Pack." “So what's your conclusion?" having given Relix words a good time of thought. “War, for in it is superiority and weakness proven." The word “war” sprang fear into him as he knew how bloody it could be. Being strong yet cherishing life. Seeing fear in Renbus, Relix deemed it fit to eulogize him for his father's contributions. “If war is the case, then I'm in ''. Knowing how dangerous Twilight Pack could be if not careful, he made him promise Debra in a bid for victory. Eavesdropping on the last words of her husband, Cicera went and hinted to her daughter about the story. I went to her room a number of times, wondering what she could be doing inside. After a minute of waiting, Debra opened the door and wondered what could bring her mom to her doorpost. Certainly, there is a great issue at hand. She opened the door with a sleepy face.Good morning, Mom,""she greeted after yawning. “Good morning, dear," she said as she took a seat on the old iron bed. “What could be the problem, if I may ask?" Sleep ran away from her eyes as she gave rapt attention. “Your father has promised you, Renbus, if the war is won," she said in haste. “What war?" Has she been completely confused? “There will be a war between both Packs to show superiority and strength." Try not to ask questions further, as the main context might be left. “But why is Dad doing this to me? He didn't bother asking me if I had someone in mind," she murmured. "Well, that's your father, and you should know him for that when he comes to making decisions," she said, taking a pause. “However, you never spoke to me, whether you have someone in mind or not," she continued. "Yeah, mom, I do." “Is he a wolf of this Pack? Is he a Gamma?” bombarding her with questions. “Mom, a question at a time." “I do understand, but these are the questions your father will surely ask when he is brought to him," she says as she moves closer to her daughter. "Well, Mom, in answer to your question, he is a wolf of this Pack and a Gamma," she said, using her hands to demonstrate. "Oooh, so sweet. What is his name, if I may ask?" she said, resting her head on her knuckles. ”Logan by the name.”. The name “Logan” sprang fear in her mother. “You don't mean to tell me that the Logan you are talking about is the brother of Renbus," Cicera asked in utmost surprise. Seeing no bad in what she had done, she answered, “Yes, of course, the guy is just all in one." “Will you keep quiet?” she yelled at her. “What's wrong, mom? Please talk to me, as you are just keeping me confused." “So you can't see the picture of what you have created." "No," she answered honestly. “Okay, let me help you. You are calling for enmity between two brothers; you better do yourself good by letting Logan go." "Mom, I can't; don't you get it? I love this guy and no one else, not even that Renbus," making her stand known. “Then you will face the music yourself," she says, giving up on her daughter. Walking home, Renbus' heart was filled with joy as he saw a light out of the tunnel for getting Debra. The war will certainly be victorious, he assured as he kept on walking, until he ran to Timera and said, “Hey Renbus, how have you been? Anyway, thank you for talking to your brother as promised." Rebus went on with a long smile, “You barely know if I did it, which I did." “Yet it's not yielding," she said in a sad tone. “Though this dude still has eyes on Debra," he murmured in his heart. “So what's up with you guys' ', pretending to be part of the conversation. “Well, it went bad. I was humiliated and insulted by your brother; if not for the love I have for him, things wouldn't have gone any funny." “I get, I feel like let's just give him time, because I know Logan behind my brother; he doesn't fall in love easily." I tried to lie for Logan. "Nevertheless, I will still talk to him; just take things easy, him," Timare said, giving Timare a tap. “Just let him know that I'm human too, and there is a limit to what I can condone, Timare said. "Okay, well heard. I will relay things to him; just be reassured that Logan is yours' ', making his two stronger this time. "Anyways, thanks, Renbus; I appreciate it," she said as she was about to conclude the speech. "Oooh, it's nothing; just take care of yourself," as Timare was walking away. “So this fool still has eyes on Debra," he murmurs to himself. “There should be a way to eliminate Logan from this game." He bothered himself with this as he kept on walking, praying for a solution from above. He saw Logan as an enemy of progress and was ready to terminate him because every effort seemed futile. Waiting for the great time to strike were the thoughts of Renbus, as he couldn't wait for a tangible reason for Logan to get out of the Pack. His not coming to the circle was a pointer, but there was no evidence to prove why.
