Hungover

Sage POV:

I groaned as I rolled over in bed. How did I even get here? I opened my eyes and Remi was sleeping soundly right next to me. Geeze, what time was it anyway? I checked my phone laying on my bedside table. The light from my cellphone instantly stung my eyes. Ugh, it was 10:30 am. I’ve never slept this late in my life! I quickly walked over to the bathroom and hopped into the shower. I cleaned myself up and brushed my teeth. I looked back at the my reflection staring at me in the mirror. I looked awful. Quickly, I threw on some makeup and put on a new bikini. 

Remi was snoring loudly when I approached her. 

“WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD!!!” I screamed. Remi jolted awake. 

“Ugh, you b***h! Leave me alone!” I chuckled at her annoyance. 

“Get your bikini on and meet me at the pool, you can sober up there!” Remi groaned at my remark but started to get ready. 

I headed downstairs only to be greeted by my parents and brother in law. When Wren turned 18 she found her mate instantly. His name is Hudson and has been like an older brother to me ever since. My parents chuckled at my appearance. 

“Have a rough night?” My dad said sarcastically. 

“I’m not sure to be honest, I can’t even remember!” I laughed. 

My dad, Kitt, is the Alpha of the strongest pack in the world. The Blood Rose Pack, with that being said he knows how to throw a good party. 

“Remember our agreement Sage, you have this summer to yourself, but come this fall you will be the packs traveling doctor” he sounded stern with me.

“Yes papa, I remember”. With that I gave him a kiss on the cheek. 

“What are your plans today my love?” My mother asked. 

“ Oh I think I’m just going to relax by the pool with Remi”. I grabbed a water out of the  refrigerator. 

“Okay dear, try to sober up a little bit. Some Alphas from neighboring packs are coming by today to handle business with your father” Her voice was so sweet. 

“I’ll see what I can do!” I winked at her and headed to the pool. I grabbed a beach towel from the cabana and spread it out on my beach chair. I was soon greeted by Remi who tossed a big sun hat at me. 

“You might need that, don’t want your pretty face getting sunburnt!” 

“What are you my mom?!” I laughed 

“Just put it on dork!”

I placed the hat on top of my long dark brown hair. We sat by the pool for hours listening to music and sunbathing. Eventually I saw a long line of black SUV’s make their way down the driveway. 

“Who is coming?” Remi questioned me.

“Some neighboring Alphas, dad has business to take care of today” I said uninterested. Something didn’t feel right and my stomach was in knots. It was always a big deal when other Alphas came to Blood Rose. The smell of of whiskey and oak filled my nostrils. The scent was divine! Remi looked at me like I was crazy, but I just jumped in the pool in attempt to splash her! I know I successfully completed my task when she began yelling and jumped in after me.
