SIMON'S POV
Thessara didn't show up for her shift.
I checked the schedule three times already. Her name was right there. Seven AM to three PM. But it was almost nine now and she wasn't here.
I called her phone again. Straight to voicemail like the other fifty times I tried since last night.
Something was wrong. Really wrong.
"Dr. Reeves?" One of the nurses stopped by my desk. "You okay? You look stressed."
"Have you seen Thessara? Nurse Ashford?"
"Not today. Maybe she called in sick?"
I already checked with the supervisor. No call. No text. Nothing.
Thessara never missed work without calling. Never. In three years she'd been late maybe twice and both times she called ahead.
I left the ER fast. Went straight to administration.
"I need to report a missing person," I told the woman
