The past few days were spent mostly shifting between school and the hospital and this left me tired each time. Daniel is still as grouchy with his father but they have been spending a lot of time together and were getting along fairly well. Robert has been really patient with him and even extended his shifts so he could stay by Daniel's side. Even then he still found the time to take care of my mother. I now understood why she still kept loving him throughout those years. In the face of such devotion how could a woman not melt?
I stared at my mom's transfixed expression as she watched Robert busying around the kitchen. He would occasionally abandon his tasks to speak to her and make sure she was okay. It amazed me how she kept getting better each day. She hasn't started speaking
