It's been several days since Robert and my mother have left for their vacation. After he initially announced the news it took two weeks for him to make all the preparations and apply for a leave from his job. My mother appeared to be shining that day as they were leaving. Her silvery hair glittered in the sunlight and so did her azure blue eyes. Even Robert's face was graced with the most genuine smile I had ever seen. I felt happy for them.
