“Did you find anything?” I asked Jake urgently.
“No, nothing so far.” He wearily. “I just talked to Blake and Henry and they also didn’t see Jillian or Marisa.”
“Okay thanks.” I said, sighing wearily. “Let me know if there’s anything.”
I ended the call and cast a frustrated glance around me, ever seeking out her shiny light-blonde hair among the crowd. I knew this wasn’t a simple case of her losing her way. She would have answered my calls if she hadn’t deliberately gotten away from me. But the implications of the reason she would choose to do this left me with a crippling terror gripping my chest.
