I closed my eyes, steeling myself as Callum pulled me towards Jennifer.
She kept smiling at me the whole time and as I got closer, I was shocked to notice the unshed tears in her eyes.
"How are you, Jillian?" She murmured, her voice quivering slightly.
"I'm fine, thanks." I mumbled back, my voice coming out surprisingly even. "I can see you've been doing great."
She smiled brightly. "Indeed. All thanks to Robert." She gushed, turning to look at the man lovingly.
Robert's answering look was one filled with such profound love, my lips hiked up automatically.
Jennifer's gaze then returned to me. "But it's also a large part thanks to you."
