A Week Later
Leila’s POV:
It took us a week to figure it all out but we managed it. Our whole group worked tirelessly the whole time to figure out how to make it work but we eventually came up with a plan after several days of thinking.
But that still didn’t solve our Kali and Amber problem. We kept trying the spell, again and again, to try and figure out where they were but it was as if wherever they’d hidden was impervious to magic, we couldn’t even get close. Either that or as Rosa had predicted their warding spells were too strong and our magic couldn’t reach it. Either way, we were lost. And that didn’t help how I felt about the whole situation. How we all felt. Because it was as if we were living on borrowed time and we felt every second of it. As if one wrong move or one mistake
