The Aftermath

Nazac slowly took his seat shocked by such an unexpected response. Mrs. Hu handed the child to an older woman who was the late queen's sister and exited the room. The sad news traveled like wildfire over whole hugin empire. A decree was passed for a week of silence to mourn the death of the royal couple ie the queen and king. Hugin was now left without ruler and now the wise council was to vest the empire's powers to someone before the empire becomes filled with confusion. Almost two weeks later , the wise council was seated again to name the child and install a temporary leader. The council called upon the only and oldest witch in hugin. The great Euerika was her name, she was very wise and old. She had grey hair,wrinkled skin as a result of the old age and a strange walking stick. The Great Euerika was given the same respect as compared to that of a royal. She gained such respect after healing the first king of hugin who was seriously hurt after battle. From then she became the chief advisor of all the kings to till now. The also invited The Black Eagle ?. From the north to the south of the whole land .The Black Eagle was the most feared , honored, obeyed , and ruthless elite general of the hugin empire. Black Eagle joined the fighting force of hugin at an early age. He was first never like this or to even speak of being heartless. Black Eagle who was first called John was a normal soldier of the hugin empire. He had a little family of a beautiful wife and daughter who was barely a year old. Black Eagle then John sometimes left his family to fight wars against the elves allies. It was one of these times when he left to a serious battle against the forces of the elf empire. The elf empire was the greatest enemy of the Hugin empire. John after this tiresome battle later went back to his town see his whole town engorged in flames. Troops of allies of the elf empire had attacked the town killing everyone including his wife. Black Eagle then John never knew whether his child was dead or alive. He gave his necklace to his child as surety that he would come back alive to his family. But he no longer had a family. Surely, that day John had died with his family and The Black Eagle was born. From that day , he became this ruthless monster he is now. And through his serious ways, he became the trusted friend of the late king madak. King madak even left his wife and unborn child in Black Eagle's care before his death. Now everyone was sited and Nazac who was a royal and also the head of the wise council started by saying, "we greet you all with grief as the empire has lost two important people". Nazac continued,"without wasting much time, we are here today to name our new born male child of the late king Madak and queen Miriam ". All the rites were performed and the child was named Wilson.
