Chapter Fifteen

Right now we're at the doctor's because yosohn has a cold and Muhammad freaked the hell out. I told him that I had medicine but he didn't believe me.

"You got us waiting here for almost 2 hours I have medicine for him".I said rubbing his cheek as he slept on Muhammad's chest.

"Bro I don't know what type of medicine you got probably got dollar store medicine and s**t".He said mugging me as I laughed.

"I don't buy him dollar store medicine I get it from the doctor".I said looking around the office.

"Yoshon fletcher". The nurse called out and we stood up.

"We gone have to get that last name changed".He said into my ear as we sat down.

"Okay, so what seems to be the problem".The doctor asked as he took yosohn weighing him.

"He has a little cold but his father here wanted to make sure he was alright".I said gesturing to Muhammad who watched the doctor like a hawk.

"Well he indeed does have a cold I'll give you guys what medicine he should be taking".He said writing it down and handing the paper to Muhammad since I grabbed yosohn.

"Okay thank you".I said with a small smile and he stepped foot out of the room before Muhammad stopped him.

"Wait yo hold the hell up what is the risk of this medicine side effects all that s**t I want to know before I just give my son something because you a doctor and you said so".Muhammad said looking down at the paper and back up to the doctor.

"There are very mild side effects and risk".The doctor said with a smile before turning to walk away.

"Yo nigga if your ass turn to walk out that door again I'm gone break both your f*****g ankles now what the f**k you mean mild".He asked handing the doctor the paperback.

"It may affect the lungs, kidneys, and cause mild diarrhea things like that".The doctor said leaning against the door.

"So why the f**k would you prescribe it to my son knowing that s**t I mean damn I wouldn't act a fool if the risk and s**t wasn't that serious so what you gone do is write something else to give him".Muhammad said and I just sat there playing with yosohn.

"I'm sorry sir this is the lowest risk medicine we have".The doctor said writing on the paper and giving it to him.

"I also put the side effects and risk down for you but I really need to get going".The doctor said rushing out of the room.

"Why did you scare that man like that".I said laughing as we walked out.

"Because that nigga tried to sit up there and give my son some s**t that he wouldn't even take himself".He said as we stopped at the front desk.

"His next appointment will be next month on the 24th is that okay".The receptionist asked typing on the computer.

"Yeah, that's good".Muhammad said and walked away with me behind him when his phone rung.

"Man I'll be there in fifteen minutes wait how you know nigga".I heard him say as I buckled yosohn up and got in the passenger seat.

"Alright, we'll be there".He said hanging up and starting the car.

"Where we going".I ask looking over at him as he drove.

"Man look SuSu having the baby early so we swinging by so I can get a DNA test done".He said with a sigh.

"Drop me off".I said mugging him with my arms folded.

"Man chill out with that s**t if this my kid then you gone have to get over it".He said raising his voice.

"I don't have to get over s**t the b***h is disrespectful and so are you I'm tired of taking your s**t and not saying anything now I said drop me off b***h".I yelled sitting up in the seat facing my body towards him and he slapped me causing me to hold my face in shock.

"Sit the f**k back Ariana I'm not with the bullshit right now".He said looking at me then back to the road.

~15 minutes later~

Pulling up into the parking lot we get out and we both try to get yosohn out.

"Move let me get my baby".I said pushing him out the way and he huffed before shaking his head.

"Ari on my grandmother don't f**k with me don't think just because you had my child you gone get special treatment cause that's not what it is".He said wrapping his hand around my neck squeezing it a little bit before letting go and walking off.

Following behind him I stand far behind while he got the floor and room number.

"Come on".He said turning to look at me as I made faces at yosohn.

"I'm coming".I said rolling my eyes when he turned around and walked down the hall.

Pulling my ringing phone out of my pocket I see it's Tati wanting to face time me so I accept it.

"b***h where is my baby, you f*****g liar".Tati said looking around to see where I was.

"Girl he's right here and I was gone bring him but he got a cold and Muhammad was being extra and wanted to take him to the doctor". I said looking around.

"Speaking of Muhammad where he at".She asked putting me on pause.

"In the room waiting on his maybe baby but I need you to come get me like right now".I said looking up from the phone to see if he was coming.

"Why wassup".She asked grabbing her mom's keys off the key holder and walking out the door.

"He slapped me and choked me with yosohn in my arms so I want to get away for a couple of days".I said watching her speed down the freeway.

"So what's the move we banging s**t or what, ".She asked looking down at her phone after making a turn.

"It can most definitely go down can Abdul watch yosohn for a few minutes".I asked switching him to my other hip because he started to get heavy.

"Aww damn no he had some type of meeting and it's not for the barbershop".She said stopping at a light and picking her phone up.

"I know what it is and I would have granny do it but she at some church thing".I said looking around the hospital.

"You know I haven't heard you talk about your dad for a while and I haven't been over there wassup with that".She asked with a confused face.

"Um well you know Jim and the wicked which went on a vacation but how far are you".I asked as people started coming out of the room that Muhammad went to.

"I'm outside b***h come on".She said hanging up.

Walking out of the hospital I spot her mom's car before walking over and buckling yosohn in the car seat she had for him before getting in.

"So you staying with me tonight at mamas or what".She asked looking at the road then at me.

"Um imma stay at a hotel and look for some apartments but I need you to drop me off at Muhammad's house".I said looking down at my phone.

"Okay I got you and whenever you find your apartment text me or call me so I can tell mama and she'll come sign the papers".Tati said I just nodded and the saw car was silent the rest of the way.

~Muhammads house~

Getting out of the car I walk to the back unbuckling yosohn before walking over to the driver's side and leaning down so Tati could kiss him.

"Bye-bye God mommy baby".She said backing up and pulling off.

Rushing I unlock the door closing it behind me before walking to the room I slept in laying yosohn on the bed. Walking into the closet I begin to pack the thing that I took out of the car into my suitcase.
