Alex didn’t want anything in return the night before. It was a silent vow. Well, silent wouldn’t be the right word considering Gabe was banging on the wall yelling “shut up” at her. She couldn’t control it, though.
Alex touched everything…everything the right way. He wasn’t awkward like the first time he did that to her. It was as though there wasn’t a fifty-year break between them.
