"I'm ready to tell you everything." Zoey said and Jake nodded.
Zoey sighed heavily before she began to tell him about herself.
She couldn't help but feel like Jake could help her out.
She was sure that if she didn't tell him about herself, he might make her go back home and then her running away would all be for naught.
"I was adopted when I was a little girl." Zoey began and Jake listened with rapt attention.
"I don't know why they adopted me but I know that my family hates me."
"From the very day I was brought home, I was treated differently and I knew that I couldn't ever fit in there."
"My mother says I'm not good enough, my sister doesn't want to see me happy and my father turns a blind eye to all of this." Zoey explained and Jake nodded to show that he was listening.
