“What's wrong with her?”
“Dad called, Anna has stomach cramps,” Felix informed them, and then quickly walked into the house. Dominic was surprised but had no time for anything other than his concern. Stomach cramps in early pregnancy can pose a risk.
In the living room, he found Mom in a wheelchair, anxiously helpless while Anna sat leaning back. Her hand was holding a glass.
“What happened?” Dominic asked while his brother immediately approached Anna, hugging her worriedly.
“I’m fine, really.” Anna reassured her husband.
“We've lost a baby before, don't say you're okay, Anna!” Felix argued.
“Felix—“
“Your stubbornness is not needed in this situation!” Felix scolded and, without much question, immediately embraced Anna's body.
Dominic offered to go to the hospital with them.
