Two months have passed...
Lena took a deep breath as she woke up in the room at her parents' house. She had been home for a week, back in the city of Wyoming, and was now officially unemployed.
Her daily routine began with waking up early alongside her mother, helping around the house, taking care of her father, and helping out at the family shop when her mother had to go to the market. She also didn't forget to send out job applications. Lena was determined to find work close to home. This was Lena's new life after leaving her previous job at the Ashford household.
Lena grabbed a towel, walked out of her room, and paused at the sight of the line for the bathroom.
“You're third in line, 'Sis',” said Charles. He had to go in early, so he was already up.
