He cleaned up his work-space and stacked the filled boxes in a corner. He’d deal with them on Sunday night, when he could ensure they would get lost amongst the weekend workload. Then, he walked through the plastic barrier and stripped off his protective layers, placing the jumpsuit into a bag to be incinerated later. The rest, he hosed off before stuffing into a tiny closet. He picked up his work clothes and dressed, checking his watch as he strapped it onto his wrist. He was intrigued to see it was five minutes to midnight. It felt like he’d only spent twenty minutes with the body, but it had been much longer. He walked back through the maze of cobblestone corridors to the entrance.
