SimonThe rearview mirror was vibrating as Simon looked into it before checking his blind spot and changing lanes. Safely done, he reached down and increased the volume. He looked over at Mario, grinning. “Sounds good, doesn’t it?” He almost had to shout to be heard, almost; the knob not yet a third of the way up. They drove that way for some time, the music blasting with their arms dangling out of open windows. They were cruising around the city, no particular place in mind. The sun was casting early shadows, meaning sunset wasn’t far behind. Simon was not looking forward to another bitter winter.
