Allegra POV
As I lay in bed, I reviewed the previous several days. It's been difficult and isolating. Lucius had been ignoring me, which disturbed me. I also did not attempt to get in touch with him. Still, I've been meaning to speak with him. He just doesn't give me another glance. Lucius had a late night out.
He would return later in the evening after spending some time at his office. He would sometimes wait to come home until I had gone to sleep. The tension was always palpable in the room when Lucius and I were together. There was a knock on the door while I was still lying there.
