CHAPTER Fifty Six ALLEGRA POINT Of View Lucius responded, "I don't want to do this with you now, Allegra," and turned to go back to his clothes. Everywhere he walked, my eyes followed. I saw him put his jacket on the closet door after taking off his coat. He came back to me and gave me a forehead kiss. I tipped my head back to keep him from kissing me, but that didn't stop him. He responded, "I will see you some other time," and turned to go. I felt a momentary sorrow for bothering him. Perhaps he wouldn't have abandoned me in this room by myself once again. I shot the notion down right away. It was not me who was incorrect, but rather Lucius. I fell into my bed, rolling my eyes. The remainder of the day was a total waste of time. I decided to skip supper and go to bed without eating
